I'm sorry you haven't seen every other "haven for free speech" turn into a haven for NeoNazis and pedophiles. Pardon me for actually understanding how things work, and remembering Reddit, Voat, the Chans, etc. it's funny you're acting like bringing up how long it took to get rid of /r/Jailbait is a "strawman".
Call me the problem after you say how you're going to stop pedophiles from trading CSAM on your platform, not before.
And I've watched the things you're talking about be used to propose legislation against free speech, and the path you want to take is more slippery than the slipperiest slope imaginable.
Censorship gains traction under the guise of reasonable sounding proposals and always leads to misuse. I have no doubt you have good intentions at heart, but I super promise other people don't and they will use any legislation available as a way to curtail dissent, treason, and sedition.
I promise we're better off with havens for free speech.

Note: I don't usually post from sites I don't know, but I can't find this segment on Rachel Maddow's site. He has the video included and I can't go directly to the video.
Following up on his startling revelations today about how DOGE engineers accessed MLRB databases without authority, and that Russian IP addresses were used with recently created user IDs and passwords to access them, Daniel Berulis— speaking through his lawyer—followed up with a new bombshell that DOGE systems “were also connected to Starlink”.

Zuckerberg feared monopoly scrutiny and mulled Instagram split, files show
Meta’s chief executive Mark Zuckerberg considered spinning off Instagram in 2018 in anticipation of a potential antitrust suit, documents unveiled at a trial in Washington showed on Tuesday.“While most companies resist break-ups, the corporate history is that most companies actually perform better after they’ve been split up,” he wrote in an email at the time. He said there was a “there is a non-trivial chance” his company would be forced to spin Instagram and WhatsApp out anyway.
Zuckerberg made another key concession during the US trial on Tuesday, saying he bought Instagram because it had a “better” camera than the one Facebook was trying to build for its flagship app at the time. In the email, he said Instagram was a “rapidly growing, threatening, network”.

California launches legal challenge against Trump’s ‘illegal’ tariffs
California is asking a court to block Donald Trump’s “illegal” tariffs, accusing the president of overstepping his authority and threatening trade in a state with the world’s fifth-largest economy.
The lawsuit, brought by California’s governor, Gavin Newsom, and attorney general, Rob Bonta, challenges Trump’s invocation of emergency powers to unilaterally impose tariffs on imports, which have rattled stock markets and raised fears of recession.
The complaint argues that the law does not give the US president the authority to impose tariffs without the consent of Congress. It asks the court to declare Trump’s tariff orders “unlawful and void” and to order the Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection to stop enforcing them.
