Google, Apple, and Snap aren’t happy about Meta’s poorly-redacted slides

Lawyers called them “egregious” disclosures.

Unexpectedly, I first heard about it from the local radio station lady absolutely dunking on them. No ads, no traffic updates, just 5 solid minutes of, "did you hear about this stupid thing?"

Loved it.

I'm a big fan of radio station rants.

And when they're arguing about stuff and talking over eachother.

I think you could make a lot of money selling authentic replicas of 1950-1970's models of home appliances.

The kind of toasters and blenders you could drive nails with. "Heritage" items you could pass down to the grandkids when it was time for them to start college.

Fidelty cards store app?

I used to use stocard to store the fidelty cards from several shops in one place, but now it's apparently closing and they want me to download another app which has 700 features I don't care about and that wants me to make an account and accept cookies..

Is there any Foss app that does simply this?

Any good FOSS music player apps for Android that are still getting updated?

Rn I'm using Metro, app has a bit of bugs, music stops randomly even after setting battery optimization to unrestricted and hasn't been updated since April 2023. What do y'all suggest?

no don't you remember when they said a president cant do anything illegal?
Unknown parent

That's not what happended.

The Supreme Court refused to prosecute Trump (for a blatantly illegal act) and ruled that he was immune to prosecution for "official acts" which they refused to define.

Then they slow walked the case back to a lower court - deliberately - so the determination was not made until after the election.

Then in a state court, Trump was convicted, but the judge delared there was no penalty "because only a federal court could apply punishment".

Then a couple of days later the DoJ dopped the case because "the president is immune from prosecution".

Cory Booker to visit El Salvador in effort to return wrongly deported man to US

Van Hollen and Booker showing how representatives in government should be working for their constituents. I hope their aim is to be as annoying as possible until something good comes of it, but I worry Bukele will just arrest them and further erode the numbers we have in Congress.
in reply to just_another_person

They need to stop this 1 at a time thing. Get like 40 members of Congress, Senators and Representatives. Show up at CECOT with cameras live streaming and demand to be admitted. When they refuse, force your way in.

I don't believe anyone in El Salvador, including Bukele and the goons staffing the prison, want to have a live stream of them assaulting/arresting a bunch of US members of Congress. And if they do, maybe that'll help wake some Republican voters up to the fascism.

in reply to just_another_person

Bukele has already blinked.

I am not worried for Booker. The tide is slowing down, and may turn soon if the pressure continues from all sides. Trump has played his hand badly.

Do This: April 19th list of protests

Okay, so remember when I told everybody to hold April 19th? Here’s where you can search for a 50501 event near you, and there are definitely going to be other events on the same day by other groups.

It will NOT be as big as April 5th. But a good turnout is important – and basically will continue to be important for months and months.

The next really massive turnout day looks like it’s going to be May 1st, though. Reserve the day. Indivisible is cooking something up, 50501 will be in on it, so will a lot of other people, or so I hear. Put it on your calendar now, so you’re ready.

Here are some other April 19 events in the Seattle area, compiled by Indivisible. I’m sure you can find something to do.
Puget Sound-area April 19th Neighbourhood Day of Action schedule, with too many events to type into an ALT TEXT box, sorry.
See you out there, and as always – good hunting.

‘We Are All Afraid’: Republican Senator Admits Colleagues Are Terrified of Being Punished for Criticizing Trump

Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) openly admitted that she and her Republican colleagues were “all afraid” of “retaliation” from President Donald Trump as she criticized what she called “unlawful” executive overreach and sweeping federal cuts.
