[🇬🇧 English version below]

Motivo? Subappalti a ditte cinesi accusate di:

• Lavoratori senza permesso

• Paghe sotto il minimo

• Dormitori abusivi

• Turni estremi (notti/festivi, provati dai picchi elettrici)

📌** Perché è sistemico**

Loro Piana → Evergreen (senza fabbriche) → Sor-Man → Clover Moda/Dai Meiying (officine cinesi). Risultato:

• Macchinari pericolosi senza formazione

• Zero controlli sanitari

• Profitti ↑, diritti ↓

Capitalismo 101: estrai valore, esternalizza i rischi.

EuroBSDCon 2025: A Return to the BSD Community

I’m thrilled to share my excitement for EuroBSDCon 2025 in Zagreb! After an incredible experience last year and at BSDCan, I can’t wait to reconnect with the amazing BSD and open-source community. This year, Jeroen and I are even presenting our talk, “Lib

Yesterday, the schedule for the next EuroBSDCon, which will be held in Zagreb, Croatia, from 25 to 28 September 2025, was published.

Last year I attended EuroBSDCon and it was a fantastic experience. I enjoyed every single moment, and connecting with the people who conceive, develop, disseminate, and are passionate about *BSD and the open-source world was an unforgettable experience. I flooded the Venue with BSD Cafe stickers and attended some incredibly interesting presentations. I wrote about it in an article for the FreeBSD Journal, where I tried, as much as possible, to convey the positivity I felt at the event.

Such a positive experience pushed me, a few months later, to propose a talk for BSDCan as well – an incredible experience itself, which I will write about in more detail later.

Reading this year’s program, I see a problem that I also had to face last year and last month at BSDCan: there are so many interesting presentations that they will overlap. Fortunately, the video team will provide live streams and recordings of the individual talks, allowing us to watch the presentations even if delayed.

In Zagreb, Jeroen ( @h3artbl33d – admin of Exquisite.social) and I will present “Liberating the social web using *BSD” – a 90 minutes presentation where we will talk about our experiences with Exquisite and BSD Cafe – delving into both technical and human details – an incredible experience from both points of view.

I suggest taking a look at the program and, if possible, participating. I can assure you it’s definitely worth it.

2D Video Game for English Practice and Proceeds Towards Ukraine Support

Hello. On the link below, you can download a free early access alpha version of a 2D dodgeball video game, which is about learning or refreshing your memory on idioms. An idiom is a phrase or expression that largely or exclusively carries a figurative or non-literal meaning, rather than making any literal sense.

This version is free to play, but proceeds of the game sales will go to help me host more English speaking clubs and dodgeball events in Ukraine, to help people stay active and healthy in a fun way, and to help Ukrainians practice their English speaking skills.

I'm from the USA, but I was in Ukraine for a few months of this year, seven months in 2021 when I hosted a few English speaking clubs and dodgeball events, and a few months before, and I was glad to have the opportunity to help Ukrainian people in these different ways, even if it might only be something small. I have documents to live and work in the Netherlands which requires me to stay in their country at least six months per year, but I'm ready to return to Ukraine asap if the English game project is successful.

in reply to SUPER SAIYAN

Using ai will make you stupid, at least research seem to indicate so.

It's unetichally made; on the labour of others.

Oh yea, water and power ofc - proportinally it's not good to spend that much on asking chatgpt to roleplay a anime gf.

Plus it's a stereotype. The people I've met are usually ignorant of the world, don't care or think they themselves will make money off "ai"

Oh yea, and it's lazy. You can figure out stuff or make it on your own.

It's not even Ai. That's just misleading marketing. At least for me this is why I hate AI effortless slop.

Thank you for responding. This is what i want to hear.

[Announcement] Secrets of the Atlas Build Showcase

Today, we'll be showcasing a handful of cool builds from Secrets of the Atlas. This is just a brief overview, so if you want to learn more about any of them, check out the links to the creators!

First up, we have an Ice Crash Slayer created by Paint_Master, as part of their challenge to make a build with a limit of one Divine!

To do this, Paint Master has employed several low cost unique items to get the most bang for your buck, or crash for your chaos in this case.

The Frostbreath unique mace, corrupted with Fortify on Hit, deals double damage to chilled enemies. We have this equipped in our main hand while using Ice Crash of Cadence, which makes hits with our mainhand weapon deal even more damage.

The Bitterdream unique sceptre lets us support our Ice Crash with a whopping eight support gems, without having to shell out for a six-linked body armour.

The Heatshiver unique helmet provides a large amount of our cold damage as extra fire damage against enemies that are chilled, which we can comfortably apply with our heavily supported Ice Crash.

This build clears all but the most pinnacle content with a cool calm demeanor, without a chilling price tag.

Jungroan's Forbidden Rite of Soul Sacrifice Occultist

If you're a cat person, this next build is for you. Actually, it might not. This is frankly far too many cats.

Created by Jungroan, inspired by tech from the aptly named Devilcat - this Occultist uses Forbidden Rite of Soul Sacrifice, to spew an unholy amount of deadly space kitties. The Celestial Cat Skill Effect, makes the theme.

There's a few very important moving parts that require specific breakpoints in order for this build to function correctly, so we strongly recommend checking out Jungroan's video on this build if you'd like to consume the souls of your foes in a cosmic feline frenzy.

Mewfour's Crushing Fist Gladiator

If you're allergic to cats, you can just punch things. Actually, anyone can just punch things. The One Megafisto Man created by Mewfour does this better than most.

This character is built around Crushing Fist, a retaliation skill that activates on block. In order to use it, we first need to block consistently. Megafisto uses the Gladiator for its incredibly high effective chance to block attacks and spells.

Of course your character also needs to scale its damage somehow! Mewfour has taken the Impaler Keystone which lets our single punch apply a bunch of Impale stacks, in the off chance that our initial punch doesn't annihilate our enemies!

BaumisMagicalWorld's Scorching Ray Totem Hierophant

Our final build today is another one that makes great use of Mercenaries. This Scorching Ray Totem Hierophant is still possible to play without a Mercenary, but build creator BaumisMagicalWorld mentions that the addition of Mercenaries rounds out the build and plugs some of its holes.

Scorching Ray is great against single targets, but lacking in clear speed and crowd control effects. This is where the Mercenary comes in. Baumi suggests that any Mercenary with a strong area of effect can be used, but the Merc of choice in this case is a Flamehand.

Equipped with unique items that allow their fire damage to freeze and shock, our mercenary applies ailments and clears monsters while we can focus on taking out the tougher enemies.

This is a great showcase of how Mercenaries can be a powerful ally even when our build isn't specifically designed to buff the Merc's damage.

Thanks to all Exiles out there creating exciting and unique builds, and in particular those Exiles we've highlighted in this news post!

[Patch Notes] 3.26.0d Hotfix 5

3.26.0d Hotfix 5

  • Fixed a bug introduced in 3.26.0d Hotfix 4 where Bastion Mercenaries were no longer using the Prismplate skill on allied players.

The New York Times Finally Stops Avoiding The G-Word

The New York Times has published an op-ed by a genocide scholar who says that he resisted acknowledging the truth of what Israel is doing in Gaza for as long as he could, but can no longer deny the obvious.

It’s an admission that may as well have come from The New York Times itself.

In an article titled “I’m a Genocide Scholar. I Know It When I See It.”, a Brown University professor of Holocaust and genocide studies named Omer Bartov argues that “Israel is literally trying to wipe out Palestinian existence in Gaza,” and denounces his fellow Holocaust scholars for failing to acknowledge reality.

Israel's image is cracking. Let's make it shatter. Keep talking about what they are doing to a captive population: it's genocide.
in reply to Peter Link

Spain and some other EU countries since time called it what it is and Netanyahu an criminal. Even dicovering that Hamas is supported and funded by Israel to justify this genocide. This makes Netanyahu even more vomitive than it is already and all orange guys which support him

in reply to Zerush

Remind me what did Josep Borrell do when he had power? This is the "europe is a garden" guy btw.

Not to say that he is wrong here, but this is just lip service from a career politician serving the very same people that pushed the genocide.

I just don't like Spain getting good rep because of empty rhetoric, while in reality they materially support Israel.

I know, israel did this to undermine the PLO, but i ask you what did Borrell do when he held one of the top EU positions? Nothing. These ghouls don't deserve any good rep for minimal lip service.

????????

in reply to Sandouq_Dyatha

Not now but they did fund Hamas some time ago to undermine the PLO*, it's a well known fact. Not unlike what is happening with Syria, helping headchoppers take power to justify seizing more Syrian territory with the excuse of “helping minorities" which they later will kill.

that's not what the other guy said, he didn't say "oh back in the day israel indirectly or directly used hamas to undermine other groups" he said "Hamas is supported and funded"

In Colombia, The Hague Group Charges Israel With Genocide

The Hague Group was created last year through the help of Progressive International, an organization founded in May 2020 to unite, organize, and mobilize progressive forces around the world. The Hague Group is pushing for an end to Israel’s offensive, and has organized this week’s emergency conference. Other organizations, including international human rights groups and organizations advocating for Palestinian rights, are present such as the Hind Rajab Foundation. Notably, Qatar and Egypt, which are overseeing negotiations between Hamas and the Israeli government, are in attendance.

“There is nothing to negotiate about. Israel needs to withdraw from Gaza totally and unconditionally,” Albanese told Drop Site News during a press conference on Tuesday afternoon when asked about the negotiations between Hamas and Israel. “This is the first thing. And then Israel owes huge reparations to Palestinians for what it has done,” she added.
