Meta Takes Hard Line Against Europe's AI Rules

Former #1 Movie Piracy Site "Strongly Linked" to Global Infostealer Activity

Earlier this year, Microsoft published a report on an infostealer malware campaign identified as stemming from pirate streaming sites. With one million user devices infected, the potential for damage is clearly enormous but the threat isn't new. Data sourced from specialist breach databases reveals that Fmovies, the world's most popular pirate streaming site before its closure in 2024, was "strongly linked" to Infostealer activity targeting users worldwide.

Israel levelling thousands of Gaza civilian buildings in controlled demolitions - BBC News

Verified footage shows large explosions unleashing plumes of dust and debris, as Israeli forces carry out controlled demolitions on tower blocks, schools and other infrastructure.

Multiple legal experts told BBC Verify that Israel may have committed war crimes under the Geneva Convention, which largely prohibits the destruction of infrastructure by an occupying power.

An Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson said it operated in accordance with international law; that Hamas concealed "military assets" in civilian areas, and that the "destruction of property is only performed when an imperative military necessity is demanded".

in reply to SGGeorwell

In criminal law, mens rea (/ˈmɛnz ˈreɪə/; Law Latin for "guilty mind"[1]) is the mental stateof a defendant who is accused of committing a crime. In common law jurisdictions, most crimes require proof both of mens rea and actus reus ("guilty act") before the defendant can be found guilty.

Whilst we should be fighting Zionism, let's not celebrate MTG, as she did this likely because of geniune antisemitism as opposed to a concern for Palestinians. Remember the Jewish Space Laser thing.

You can stop now. AOC already came out and clarified that this was not about MTG, but she wanted to send weapons to Israel from taxpayer money.

The publicly accessible bucket contained data from the iOS app FlirtAI - Get Rizz & Dates. It mainly included private chats that users wanted the AI wingman to help them reply to.
  • FlirtAI wingman app leaked 160K chat screenshots through unprotected cloud storage.
  • Teenagers frequently used the app, making the breach more concerning for minors.
  • Some individuals were likely unaware their conversations were screenshot and sent to third parties.

Tulsi Gabbard calls for Obama to be prosecuted over 2016 election claims

Tulsi Gabbard, the director of national intelligence, has called for Barack Obama and former senior US national security officials to be prosecuted after accusing them of a “treasonous conspiracy” intended to show that Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential election win was due to Russian interference.

She said Obama and senior officials in his administration had “[laid] the groundwork for … a years-long coup” against Trump after his victory over Hillary Clinton by “manufacturing intelligence” to suggest that Russia had tried to influence the election. That included using a dossier prepared by a British intelligence analyst, Christopher Steele, that they knew to be unreliable, Gabbard claimed.

The post-election intelligence estimates contrasted with findings reached before the election, which indicated that Russia probably was not trying to interfere. In extraordinary comments calling for prosecutions, she added: “The information we are releasing today clearly shows there was a treasonous conspiracy in 2016 committed by officials at the highest level of our government.

Brother the russian collusion was out in the open what are we talking about
in reply to thanks AV

Ah, you missed the subnote where the media admitted they lied. Let me enlighten you:

CNN: The Steele dossier: A reckoning

When it came to light in January 2017, just days before Donald Trump took office, the so-called Steele dossier landed like a bombshell and sent shockwaves around the world with its salacious allegations about Trump and his supposed ties to Russia.

The central allegations, that Trump conspired with the Kremlin to win the 2016 election and that Russia had compromising information on him, were given a veneer of credibility because they originated from a retired British spy, Christopher Steele, who had a solid reputation.

But five years later, the credibility of the dossier has significantly diminished.

A series of investigations and lawsuits have discredited many of its central allegations and exposed the unreliability of Steele’s sources. They also raise serious questions about the political underpinnings of some key explosive claims about Trump by shedding new light on the involvement of some well-connected Democrats in the dossier, and separate efforts to prod the FBI to investigate ties between Trump’s campaign and Russia.

Zohran Mamdani and the “Black Vote”

Zohran Mamdani’s campaign struggled to win “the Black vote.” That was part of the narrative that emerged after Mamdani’s surprising win in the New York City Democratic mayoral primary. Though Mamdani, a state assemblymember, decisively triumphed over his chief opponent, disgraced former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the young democratic socialist’s performance in majority-Black precincts proved to be a weak spot.

The so-called Black vote, in other words, doesn’t need to shake out the way it frequently has in the past; all indications are that it won’t.

Mamdani is the candidate that has shown he can seize on young voter enthusiasm — and with young Black voters, themselves no monolith, offering Mamdani an opening. True, some of these younger voters are moving toward the Republican Party, but it’s also true that young Black Democrats are more likely to hold more progressive views than their older counterparts.

Indeed, young Black voters appear to have gone decisively for Mamdani in the primary. According to one primary exit poll (with a small sample size), about 70 percent of Black voters under 50 voted for Mamdani citywide. There’s no reason to think he will lose that support in the general, and if he can continue to increase young Black voter turnout, he may not need the older ones.

US Federal judge blocks enforcement of Trump’s sanctions on ICC for targeting Israel

WASHINGTON – A federal judge blocked on Friday the enforcement of US President Donald Trump’s executive order targeting those who work with the International Criminal Court.

The ruling follows an April lawsuit by two human rights advocates challenging Trump’s February 6 order authorizing potentially far-reaching economic and travel sanctions on people who work on ICC investigations of US citizens or US allies, such as Israel.

In her ruling, US District Judge Nancy Torresen called the executive order an unconstitutional infringement on free speech. “The executive order appears to restrict substantially more speech than necessary to further that end,” she wrote.

Having looked at various browsers and what calls they make, I noticed on Firefox and other android browsers that when Bypass Paywall Clean is installed from main source:
gitflic.ru/project/magnolia123…

It makes calls to gitflic.ru quite often wether using a bypass website or not.

Anyone know on what the calls are about and if they are legitimate and or what telemetry is being shared?

I have purchased far more than I've ever obtained. In some cases I've double dipped and purchased multiple times.

The main issue is "can I obtain it legally and pay the original creators?" And secondary is "is this item reasonably priced and delivered in an accessible way?".

The last game I grabbed was the Sims 4 + dlc a very very long time ago. The last show i grabbed was probably an anime with fan subtitles.
