This is the Lebanon ceasefire.
The IOF have some spare time on their hands now they cannot heavily bomb Gaza so they are doing some side quest terrorizing.
There is currently a temporary ceasefire deal for captive exchange in Gaza with Israel. Which will last 72 hours for now.
That said, Israel also has a ceasefire agreement with Lebanon which we can see they are not holding up.

Daily drone patrols hover above villages, launching strikes with no warning. Snipers stationed on Israeli-held hilltops train their sights on roads, rooftops and fields.
In September, an Israeli drone strike in Bint Jbeil killed five civilians, including three children. The victims were traveling by car through a residential neighborhood when the missile hit.

Tony Blair met Jeffrey Epstein in No 10, documents reveal
Sir Tony Blair met Jeffrey Epstein in Downing Street while he was prime minister after a recommendation by Peter Mandelson, newly released papers from the National Archives show.
Epstein visited Blair on 14 May 2002, after the suggestion by Lord Mandelson to the prime minister’s then chief of staff, Jonathan Powell. Mandelson was sacked as US ambassador in September after new information emerged about how close he was to the convicted sex offender.
At the time of the recommendation, Mandelson was a backbench Labour MP but still served as a trusted ally to Blair. Just over a year earlier he had resigned from government a second time amid controversy. He had described Epstein to Powell as “safe” and a “friend” in an email before the meeting. Powell is now Keir Starmer’s national security adviser. His role has been questioned in the collapse of a Chinese spying case.

GAZA CITY—Nizar Daghmash, the 56-year-old head of the Daghmash family council, stood in front of the ruins of his family home in Gaza City on Friday after making the journey back to the north following a ceasefire that went to effect earlier that day at 12 p.m. His house was still standing but only barely—more of a broken concrete shell surrounded by rubble.“As you can see, the scene speaks for itself,” Daghmash told Drop Site. “The stone, as a stone, has no material value to us. But the emotional value—these stones, we placed them one by one, me, my father, my brothers, and my sisters. A flood of memories runs through my mind now—not about the stones or the house itself, but because this house represents our history.”
Tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians returned to the north on Friday, making their way along Al-Rashid road. Like Daghmash, many had fled Gaza City following Israel’s brutal military offensive on the city that began in mid-August in a stated campaign of ethnic cleansing. They returned to find many of their neighborhoods unrecognizable.

Israel blocks release of two prominent Palestinian doctors as part of Gaza ceasefire
A Hamas official told CNN on Friday that “the occupation refused to release Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya,” who was kidnapped during an Israeli raid that closed the last major functioning health facility in northern Gaza in December 2024. Abu Safiya served as the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza. Dr. Marwan al-Hams, director of field hospitals in Gaza, was also excluded from the deal, the official said.
According to Physicians for Human Rights Israel (PHRI), Dr. Abu Safiya has faced starvation, physical abuse, and invasive searches while in detention. The group said he has not been charged, interrogated, or brought before a judge since March.
Last month, Abu Safiya’s attorney Ghaid Qasem told Palestinian media that the doctor was being “abandoned to disease and hunger” in Israel’s detention center, Sde Teiman, which is known for brutality and torture.

Israel will not release Dr Hussam Abu Safiya as part of Gaza deal
Israel has said it will not release two Palestinian doctors, including paediatrician Hussam Abu Safiya, as part of the ceasefire deal, a Hamas official told CNN.
Safiya was beaten and kidnapped by Israeli forces in Gaza during a raid on Kamal Adwan Hospital in December last year after he refused to abandon patients under siege.
Footage in the aftermath of the attack showed Safiya wearing a white medical overcoat crossing a street strewn with rubble. Safiya has been held since then without charge.

The ceasefire in Gaza went into effect at 12 p.m. on Friday following the announcement of an agreement by Palestinian factions on Wednesday evening and the Israeli cabinet approving the deal on Thursday night. The bombs have stopped and Israeli troops have withdrawn to the agreed upon lines, retaining control of 53% of Gaza. Tens of thousands of Palestinians returned to the north today, making their way along the coastal Al-Rashid road. The exchange of Israeli and Palestinian captives is expected on Monday or—according to President Donald Trump—possibly Tuesday. While many Palestinians in Gaza are celebrating the deal, the elation is also tempered by fear that Israel will restart the genocide whenever it wants.
Drop Site contacted five Palestinian journalists—four in Gaza and one in exile—to get their reactions to the news. Their responses were submitted on Thursday.

Trump threatens 100% China tariffs as Beijing restricts rare-earth exports
Donald Trump has threatened to impose additional US tariffs of 100% on China from next month, accusing Beijing of “very hostile” moves to restrict exports of rare earths needed for American industry.
Wall Street fell sharply after the US president reignited public tensions with the Chinese government, and raised the prospect of another acrimonious trade war between the world’s two largest economies.
Late on Friday, the president threatened to ratchet them back up by imposing a 100% tariff on goods from China “over and above” any existing tariffs. This would happen on 1 November “or sooner”, he said, hinting that the move could be accelerated should Chinese officials opt to retaliate.
The US will also introduce export controls on “any and all critical software”, he added.

Bari Weiss and the Israel narrative in the US (25min Video)
For the past couple of months, the billionaire father-son duo of Larry and David Ellison have been making deals involving major media brands. Having acquired Paramount, the parent company of CBS News, they appointed Bari Weiss – an outspoken supporter of Israel – as the network’s editor-in-chief. The moves by the Ellisons are not just about growing their media empire, but about shaping the narrative around Israel in the US, where public support continues to decline.

Democrats refuse to fold over shutdown as Republican outrage builds
Party sticks to its guns on healthcare and says it’s willing to hold out – much to the delight of its progressive supporters
When he sat down to talk about the US government shutdown with reporters from a closely read political newsletter this week, Chuck Schumer sounded as if he was relishing his standoff with the Republicans.
“Every day gets better for us,” he told Punchbowl News. As the shutdown got under way, Schumer explained, the Republican part believed that Democrats would quickly fold and vote to reopen the government, but instead they had stuck to their guns for a week and a half, demanding an array of concessions on healthcare and other issues.
Outrage followed from Republicans, who printed out the Senate minority leader’s remark on posters and condemned it before press conferences. The shutdown has prompted federal agencies to close or curtail operations nationwide, and forced hundreds of thousands of employees to stay home without immediate pay. Schumer, Republicans argued, was being callous.

His own board tried to oust him for this reason.
Podcasters in the know allude to the fact that he says things publicly he doesn’t believe, and actually thinks some pretty heinous things about the future of AI.
Tactics like these are further evidence that they know just how bad AI could be for humanity, but they want the most profit they can extract from it before they run off to their doomsday bunkers.
When you see Sam Altman talking, just know he’s not revealing his true thoughts.
