A senior Hamas source on Wednesday rejected Israel’s statement that the body of a slain person returned as part of the ceasefire deal did not belong to an Israeli captive.

“The body the enemy claims is not that of an Israeli actually belongs to a soldier captured in a resistance operation,” a senior Hamas source told Al Jazeera Arabic.

The source added that the operation to capture and retrieve the soldier’s body into one of the tunnels was carried out by Al-Qassam Brigades in the Jabalia camp in May 2024.

Adhering to traditional ideas of gender, the new Republican look of extreme plastic surgery and heavy makeup combines with tradwives’ 1950s dress silhouettes of cinched waists and flowery patterns to celebrate hyperfemininity.

These styles not only allow their wearers to blend in, but they also play a role in normalizing an aesthetics of radicalism and violence. Sociologist and American University professor Cynthia Miller-Idriss, who studies extremism and polarization, has written that “it is simply much harder to recognize ideas as hateful when they come in an aesthetic package that doesn’t fit the image people hold in their heads about what white supremacists look like”. When the radical right looks like the mythical boy and girl next door, it’s hard to know who can be a threat.

OpenAI plans to allow a wider range of content, including erotica, on its popular chatbot ChatGPT as part of its push to "treat adult users like adults", says its boss Sam Altman.

In a post on X on Tuesday, Mr Altman said upcoming versions of the popular chatbot would enable it to behave in a more human-like way - "but only if you want it, not because we are usage maxxing".

The move, reminiscent of Elon Musk's xAI's recent introduction of two sexually explicit chatbots to Grok, could help OpenAI attract more paying subscribers.

It is also likely to intensify pressure on lawmakers to introduce tighter restrictions on chatbot companions.

The war has ended, but life hasn’t returned to normal. The sounds of bombing have faded, but the struggles remain. Every day is still a battle, not against missiles or soldiers, but against hunger, exhaustion, and scarcity.

Even now, after the war, we are financially drained. The little savings we had are gone, and basic necessities like food, clean water, and electricity are still hard to come by. We wake up every day hoping things will get easier, but the reality is that survival itself has become a full time job.

Our home, like many others, has been damaged. Streets are broken, shops are empty, and the few working bakeries are overwhelmed. Life in Gaza has always been difficult, but after the recent attacks, every simple task feels impossible. Carrying water, cooking meals, keeping food from spoiling without reliable electricity these are challenges that never stop.

We are trying to rebuild, to recover, and to find a sense of normalcy. But the truth is, we can’t do it alone. Even after the war has ended, support is still desperately needed. Every contribution, every small act of help, makes a real difference for families like ours.

The war may be over, but the real struggle continues and we are still here, hoping for a chance to survive, to rebuild, and to live with dignity again.
