La settimana scorsa, giovedì (mannaggia al giorno della settimana che devo rimanere lì per 8 ore e passa di fila…), all’università ho visto una di quelle cose tecniche spaccate che, come pure i muri dell’ateneo e degli autobus ormai sanno, mi interessano fin troppo particolarmente per motivi non umanamente giustificabili… E, stavolta, ciò che trovo non funzionare a dovere è uno (1) degli erogatori di acqua in giro che, al posto del solito video autopromozionale maledetto dell’università — i cui suoni sono normalmente soliti rimbombare nel silenzio del particolare atrio in cui questa precisa unità sta, creando un’ambiance che non so mai ben spiegare — mostra un menu… 😲

C’è un’interfaccia che decisamente non ho mai visto prima nel mondo intero, con uno sfondo di un certo blu brutto che dà immediatamente a vedere la puzzolenza di questo LCD chiaramente del decennio scorso (se non di due…), una griglia 4×3 di file più un tasto Indietro, e lì si vede quello che presumo sia appunto il video famigerato… “bitrate_1080.mp4” (e che nome strano, fa sembrare che l’abbiano copiato su questa macchinetta dritto per dritto appena uscito dal programma di montaggio). Ovviamente, quello schermo non è touch, quindi provare a cliccare non serve assolutamente a niente… e così, questo oggetto si fa immediatamente più oscuro del solito ai miei occhi… Finché non ho trovato niente di meno che la scheda di questo preciso prodotto, il BCC Vision, dal sito del produttore, Blupura, dove, tra le tante robe, c’è scritto che questo coso ha un telecomando in dotazione… non è chiaro se a infrarossi, o che. (Appare invece evidente che il firmware è uno di quelli strani proprietari da media player, e sembra che le uniche sue funzioni siano riprodurre video ed immagini JPEG in particolare… PNG e altre no, scusate?) ⛲

La cosa veramente interessante (oddio, si fa per dire) in tutto questo, però, è probabilmente il fatto che oggi è martedì, e… questo distributore era ancora esattamente in questo stato; e io lo sapevo fottutamente, perciò ho aspettato per parlarne. Questa è per me la prova provata che questo posto d(‘)istruzione è amministrato da fantasmi, e non da persone che possono interagire con gli oggetti rotti per sistemarli… porca miseria, magari il telecomando di questo affare lo avete perso o non sapete che esiste (entrambe ipotesi molto italiane), ma almeno provare a staccarlo dalla corrente e riattaccarlo no? Assumendo non si sia sminchiata la memoria — e non penso sia il caso, altrimenti manco il menu col file si vedrebbe a questo punto — fare ciò dovrebbe sistemarlo, perché ricordo che, quando qui salta la corrente, questi cosi si riaccendono normalmente… E ok, non è collegato ad una presa accessibile, bensì il cavo va dentro il muro retrostante, ma sono abbastanza sicura che il quadro elettrico del piano stia nella guardiola giusto lì affianco. 😐

Rimane un mistero come mai il video, che tanto piaceva a tutti, si sia chiuso e questo affare sia tornato al menu — le mie sole ipotesi sono o un raggio cosmico, o qualcuno che magari si è divertito con un blaster IR (sempre assumendo usi quello il telecomando, perché io il ricevitore non lo vedo) e ha avuto culo. Per fortuna — e qui davvero c’è da ringraziare il cielo, perché questo periodo dell’anno è proprio quello in cui, misteriosamente e inspiegabilmente, visto che fino al giorno X – 1 non presentano problemi, questi affari smettono di funzionare in giro per l’intero campus, e finiscono in “manutenzione”, che è una scusa per sabotare gli studenti credibile e sensata quanto la famosa “Giornata della Manutenzione di Internet” in Cina — l’erogazione dell’acqua funziona ancora perfettamente, quindi non mi lamenterò… per stavolta solo risate, e parole superflue come al solito. 👍
