Belgium imposes arms embargo on Israel

Belgium has banned aircraft carrying weapons and military equipment to Israel from using the country’s airspace or making technical stops, the Foreign Ministry confirmed to Anadolu on Friday. According to sources from the ministry, the measure came into effect on Thursday.

The decision, initiated by Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot, requires relevant parties to report to Belgian officials the transportation details of flights carrying military equipment to Israel, daily Le Soir reported. The embargo aims to prevent the transportation of arms and military goods to Israel, the daily noted.

The decision also closes legal loopholes that previously allowed “non-stop transit” shipments, where cargo was not unloaded during technical stops.

Venezuela’s Vice President Delcy Rodríguez assured US cooperation before Maduro’s capture

Before the US military snatched Venezuela’s president, Nicolás Maduro, earlier this month, Delcy Rodríguez and her powerful brother pledged to cooperate with the Trump administration once the strongman was gone, four sources involved at high levels with the discussions told the Guardian.

Rodríguez, who was sworn in on 5 January as acting president to replace Maduro, and her brother Jorge, the head of the national assembly, secretly assured US and Qatari officials through intermediaries ahead of time that they would welcome Maduro’s departure, according to the sources.

By December, one American who was involved told the Guardian that Delcy Rodríguez told the US government she was ready: “Delcy was communicating ‘Maduro needs to go.’ “She said, ‘I’ll work with whatever is the aftermath,’” another person familiar with the messages said.

Humiliation for DHS as 1,000+ ICE Staffers Out Themselves Online

But the Daily Beast has discovered that information about many hundreds of ICE staff is accessible to anyone who signs up to the recruitment website.

The site—which the Beast is not naming to avoid identifying any ICE officials—is targeted at recruiters and HR specialists. It uses AI to pull data from across the internet—including LinkedIn and other websites, and social media—about employees from various large organizations.

ICE workers listed on the site include senior managers in the technical, operations, and legal departments, as well as details of on-the-ground agents and office-based deportation officers. Analysis by the Beast suggests that many still appear to be employed by ICE.

The website lists their names, job titles, locations, experience, as well as sensitive work and personal emails and telephone numbers, plus links to their LinkedIn and other social media accounts.
