Paola Cortellesi interpreta Serena, una brillante studentessa di un paesino abruzzese, laureata in architettura con una conoscenza approfondita di molte lingue straniere. Lavora a Londra ma la nostalgia di casa è tanta e Serena decide di tornare in Italia. A Roma non trova un impiego nemmeno lontanamente paragonabile a quello che aveva in Inghilterra e si arrabatta facendo tre lavori.
La protagonista si scontra con un mondo del lavoro più sessista e retrogrado. Un mondo che cerca nel suo piccolo di raddrizzare con l’aiuto di un amico.
Un film divertente ma impregnato di significato.

I protagonisti Gianni e Nino, due adolescenti che si incontrano per caso dopo un incidente in motorino, sviluppano un’amicizia che si trasforma in un amore profondo e libero. Fiorello racconta una Sicilia senza filtri, dove il patriarcato, l’omofobia e l’omertà rappresentano ostacoli duri da superare. Il film è un inno all’amore e alla libertà, che si scontra con una società chiusa e violenta.

Nonostante le perplessità iniziali, Antonio si renderà presto conto di come tutti loro abbiano del talento nascosto, che finora non hanno mai potuto dimostrare. Antonio porterà l’intera compagnia fuori dal carcere, per far salire i propri allievi su un vero palcoscenico mettendo in scena “Aspettando Godot” di Samuel Beckett.

Durante il laboratorio si utilizzeranno tecniche di teatro e movimento libero per indagare la relazione esplorando lo spazio fisico e quello emotivo della memoria e delle sensazioni.

Il Festival Antirazzista Abba Vive, ormai alla sua 17 edizione, è nato per ricordare Abba Abdoul Guiebre, che il 14 Settembre del 2008, a soli 19 anni, venne ucciso a sprangate da due suprematisti bianchi, in via Zuretti.
Quella mattina Milano si è svegliata in un incubo e noi non possiamo e non vogliamo dimenticare, perché di razzismo e profilazione razziale si continua a morire in Italia e nel mondo.
Il sorriso di Abba è scolpito nel cuore di una Milano meticcia e antirazzista, unita della lotta al razzismo e dalla voglia di costruire comunità di gioia, basate sul rispetto.
Abba non è l’unico nome che ricordiamo e per cui lottiamo:
Madou e Mor, Idy Diene, Soumaila Sacko, Becky Moses, Alika Ogorchukwu, Younes El Bossettaoui, Ramy Elgaml, Moussa Balde.
Lottiamo insieme per costruire un mondo senza frontiere, senza carceri, dove tutt3 abbiano diritti e la cittadinanza sia universale.
Lottiamo tutti i giorni contro la Guerra e la violenza colonialista che si abbatte oggi in Palestina, Sudan e Congo.
