NEW | The Israeli occupation has issued a ban order against Palestinian photojournalist Majdi Al-Abbasi, prohibiting him from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque for one week, with the possibility of extending the ban for up to six months.
He has also been ordered to return to an Israeli police station after the week passes to receive a potential renewal of the ban.
The decision follows his detention last Friday by Israeli occupation police inside the mosque’s courtyards during Friday prayers, after which he was released following several hours of interrogation.
At least 15 Palestinian journalists have been banned from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque since the beginning of Israel’s ongoing genocide on Gaza.
These bans are widely seen as arbitrary measures aimed at silencing journalists and obstructing their work in documenting Israeli attacks against Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem.

NEW | A little-known California-based company, Skydio, shipped more than 100 AI-powered reconnaissance drones to Israel that were later used by the Israeli occupation forces during the genocide in Gaza.
Now, those same drones, tested on Palestinians, are flying over major U.S. cities, surveilling protesters and feeding data directly into American law enforcement databases.
Skydio, which has grown into the largest drone manufacturer in the U.S., holds contracts with more than 800 police and security agencies nationwide, including in cities like New York, Chicago, and Philadelphia.
Its drones, capable of autonomous flight and 3D mapping, are now central to U.S. surveillance operations following a new FAA waiver allowing flights over populated areas.
The company has deep ties to Israel, maintaining an office there and partnering with DefenseSync, a military contractor that supplies drones to the Israeli occupation army.
Skydio has also received massive funding from pro-Israel venture capitalists, including Andreessen Horowitz and Axon, both of which are directly involved in supplying Israel’s police and military forces.
Rights advocates warn that technology used to enforce apartheid and genocide in Gaza is now being normalized in the U.S., marking Gaza as a testing ground for oppressive surveillance systems later deployed against civilians in Western cities.
