The fall of 2025 is dedicated to utopias and utopianisation.
We will slow down to examine how we perceive life and its key structures – to actively let go of the old and make room for the new. Utopias is the final theme of the Towards Action project, bringing together content from throughout the project – and, of course, lots of new things!
The word utopia originates from the writings of Thomas More, where it refers to a new world where everything is different – in this context, meaning colonies. The meaning of this originally colonialist term has evolved over time and taken on new meanings, often referring to something detached from reality, even impossible and only imaginable.
But what do we mean when we talk about utopias and utopianisation?
Well, at least this:
🌸Everyday utopias, meaning unusual and exceptional ways to organise living and being, that exist in the modern world around us. What can we learn from them, and is utopia really just something distant and detached from the present?
🌸 Radical utopianisation — that is, throwing oneself into different - also frightening - imaginations of the near future. Could they hold hope, or even some answers to questions about our own actions and agency? Could they provide resilience to change?
🌸 Co-created and shared spaces. Places where there is room for examining the present, the future, the frightening and the inspiring, and which themselves serve as small test sites for utopias.
The goal for the fall is to develop diverse thinking in everyday life and enable experiences of agency in utopian decisions. We aim to help each other break free from black-and-white thinking and create space for active, creative action.
This fall, we will organize a study circle and the Action Weekend in Helsinki. More information about both events will be available in our next posts — so stay tuned!

If this was the first time he had ever had an affair with subordinates, then maybe it would at least be vaguely plausible that there was a conspiracy to frame him. But when he was a well known serial sexual harassment and sexual predator going back decades before the White House, there's zero reason to believe this was all a setup.
The way you make suspicion lower as a manager is to consciously and visibly ensure your men and your women subordinates are treated equally both in public and in private. Not some Mike Pence "I never have women around me" sexist bullshit, but if you're having after hours 1:1 mentorship meetings, it's still going to be better to leave the door open.
