Libre Office stopped responding when I replied with more info.
As @argv_minus_one says "A cursory web search shows there are a bunch of issues surrounding saving files on macOS without full disk access."
The app should prompt ppl to set that security setting on launch. The issue is known to Libre Office but not to new users!

Ich bin wieder daheim, nach 90 Tagen Wanderungen, 3104 Kilometern zu Fuß, mit super tollen Partner:innen und ganz vielen neuen Bekanntschaften und Freundschaften.
Wie ich schon vorher sagte, die Hexenjagd, der Discord Server, alles das hatte ein bisschen alte SARS-CoV-2 Lockdown Wunden wieder aufgerissen, die ich eigentlich gehofft hatte, geschlossen zu halten. Aber es gibt nichts, was 90 Tage auf den eigenen Füßen, 10 Kilo abnehmen, 20% VO2Max Verbesserung, und endlich wieder mehr als 3 Stunden am Stück schlafen nicht besser machen.
Den Winter verbringe ich als Aushilfsmediziner, ein bisschen am Computer (WoW und coding), und ganz weit weg von Sozialmedien als Konsumgut. Posten werde ich immer noch, aber ganz ehrlich, ich habe keinen Bock mehr mir die Meinung Anderer unwidersprochen anhören zu müssen. Sind ja auch immer die, mit der Scheißmeinung, die dann "aber Widerspruch ist [Gewalt/Woker Scheiß/Linksgrünversifft/Nazi]" schreien. Und das muss ich mir echt nicht mehr antun.
Diesen Winter werde ich versuchen, weitere 10 Kilo mit Wanderungen und besserem Essen abzunehmen. Nächste Woche geht's 17 Kilometer nach Erding und 33 nach München zu Fuß, was einfacher ist als auf dem Jakobsweg, weil erstens weniger Berge und zweitens nicht 15 Kilo auf dem Rücken. Und werde mal wieder medic.cafe updaten und etwas am Server schrauben, da freue ich mich auch schon drauf.

at work they asked me how long it would take to do a project and I gave a presentation with a 9 week roadmap, with a deliverable for every week to emphasize that the estimated time was not padded. they say without a moment to even ponder it you have six like they think theyre captain kirk and not captain chucklefuck. ofc i will not be crunching instead i will be pulling "oopsiedoodle i need more time!" which for some reason is always more palatable than giving enough time to begin with
i asked to get ten hours of a junior engineer's time per week to help me and they said you get eight. even though a contract was recently dropped and there's a surplus of junior engineers at the moment. just for that im gonna make my minion give me 15
obviously i would not be asking my minion to work overtime i just know a lot of juniors are currently on "professional development" aka "study some shit and hope we dont lay you off" so they for sure will be able to give me three hours a day without having to stay any longer
The rationale for 8 hours per week was "well a junior could work under you one day out of four per week" (and I have six weeks to do this, so that's six days) okay so y'all would be okay if I pulled two sixteen hour days per week and then fucked off every Thursday and Friday, right? I asked for a specific junior A because the project involves functional programming to parallelize tasks on the GPU and that junior, as soon as A learned I had experience in such, came to me in breathless excitement asking for mentorship. I will be given junior B instead because "junior B likes shaders" yeah me too but HLSL and jax are not exactly... you know what never mind. A and B are both on professional development, I'll just use them both

Junior A comes from an enterprise background and has experience in entity framework programming (a plus not just for knowing data structures but also because in past situations I have found it's very hard to get juniors who know only OOP to stop thinking in OOP patterns). Junior B is a technical artist and has experience in shadergraph. Can't wait for onboarding. Stoked to work with you again, Junior B, welcome to hell
