"Good design is intuitive" is so ingrained into the way we think and talk about the work that we often forget to ask the key question - *to whom?*
Any interface is "intuitive" to someone who is already familiar with the design patterns and the interaction techniques that it uses. Similarly, any interface is "unintuitive" when it introduces the user to new interaction techniques.

The NUI trend from a decade ago failed precisely because designers imagined that intuitiveness was (or ought to be) an inherent property of the design, rather than the human-computer system.
Every interface is learned. If the user isn't learning it in your app, it's because they learned it somewhere else. By acting as though an interface is inherently either intuitive or not, we make it impossible for users to learn in our app, and assume that they will simply go learn it somewhere else.
The responsible choice is to design learnable apps, rather than intuitive ones. But please don't misunderstand — I am NOT talking about onboarding tours and those horrible tooltips that swarm you whenever you log in for the first time.
Please stop using those forever.

Today my partner and I hopped into the dinghy, and I rowed us from the sailboat out to a little island we saw in the distance. It turned out that the whole tiny island was surrounded by oysters beds!
We wandered the whole place, stepping carefully and taking lots of photos. Besides the oysters, we found lots of other sealife (starfish, fish fish, hermit crabs, crab crabs, sea anemones, seagulls, clams, limpets, barnacles, and several species of snail).

I’m constantly blown away by how good gaming on #Linux is these days. While it’s still not perfect, and some live service games will never ever work, the idea of buying a AAA game on day one and have everything work is still wild to me.
Valve has done some absolutely incredible work in making this whole thing viable. Most days, the only bugs I have to deal with are the same ones Windows users have.

On the day, once the march arrived at Civic Square and before the dull monologuing drove everyone off, we called a talking circle to discuss next steps. Again, there was a clear consensus in favour of establishing a protest encampment like the one in Zuccotti Park.
No fixed end date was every discussed. Not during the initial planning meeting, not in that talking circle, nor in any of the general assemblies held while the camp was operating as a self-governing body of citizens.
