Al Qassam Announces Martyrdom of Leader Raed Saad
Al-Qassam leader Raed Saad, Commander of the Gaza Brigade and Deputy Chief of Staff of Al-Qassam (the second in command), one of the most prominent resistance figures, ascended to martyrdom in the treacherous zionist strike west of Gaza City yesterday morning.
Raed Saad served as the commander of the Gaza Brigade in the early 2000s. In the 2010s he founded and led the Qassam Naval Force. He joined the Qassam General Staff and military council after 2014 and became the head of Operations until 2021.
Saad established the elite of the Qassam Brigades (the “Nukhba”) and is the mastermind behind the Walls of Areeha plan to crush the Gaza Division and formed the basis for Al-Aqsa Flood.

Our great commander departed to his Lord after a great and long journey of sacrifice and giving in various fields of jihad and resistance, crowned by his leadership of the Al-Qassam manufacturing system, which formed one of the most important pillars in the creativity of our resistance on October 7th, and then its infliction of heavy losses on the occupation army and confronting its aggression against our people during the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle.
By assassinating our leaders and our people, and its daily and continuous aggression against our people in various areas of the Gaza Strip, the Nazi enemy has crossed all red lines. It is disregarding “Trump’s plan”, and Trump and the mediators must bear responsibility for these dangerous transgressions and this repeated rampage against our people, our resistance fighters, and our leaders.
Our right to respond to the occupation’s aggression is guaranteed, and we have the right to defend ourselves by all means.
We announce today that the Al-Qassam leadership has appointed a new commander to carry out the tasks previously held by our martyred Sheikh Abu Muath. We affirm that our path of jihad will not stop, and the assassination of leaders will not weaken us; rather, it will increase our strength, steadfastness, and determination to continue the path they drew with their blood.
This has always been the custom of our great people and the mujahid Hamas movement, which today completes 38 years of jihad, giving, and sacrifice for the sake of Allah, then for Palestine and its Al-Aqsa, and in defense of our people and our just cause. Allah is with us and will not let our deeds go to waste. “And Allah is predominant over His affairs, but most of the people do not know.”

Diese Woche wird eine kurze Woche, ab Freitag wird Resturlaub abgebaut und die Familie besucht.
Am Wochenende konnte ich den Bahnhofsumbau abschließen, ich muss nur noch die Linien programmieren. Es sind auch weniger Weichen geworden und 34 Fahrstraßen konnte ich einsparen. Dennoch bin ich flexibel (soweit bei vollautomatischen Betrieb möglich) und konfliktfreier unterwegs als vorher.

La pregunta no es si merece la pena gobernar, sino si es posible hacerlo
Hoy lunes, 15 de diciembre, el presidente Sánchez hará su tradicional balance del año. Exhibirá logros, que no son pocos, y hará un resumen de su ejercicio de rendición de cuentas al que se bautizó como Cumpliendo, una iniciativa pionera que se inició en 2020 y que ojalá se consolide. Al acabar su discurso será obligado que los periodistas le pregunten por los casos de corrupción, por las denuncias de acoso machista en el interior del PSOE y por las exigencias de explicaciones y cambios que los socios del Gobierno piden al presidente.
Más allá de este balance, hay otro de carácter estratégico que Sánchez está obligado a hacer. Quizá ya lo haya hecho en la intimidad, aunque es posible que no quiera compartirlo. Se trata de determinar si aún es posible hacer políticas progresistas efectivas desde el actual Gobierno de coalición. No si merece la pena o no gobernar, como insistió este domingo en el mitin de Cáceres, sino si es posible hacerlo para impulsar políticas progresistas.
El contexto es conocido: Junts tensando la cuerda –aunque no llegue a romperla, al menos, hasta que Puigdemont vuelva a España amnistiado–, el PNV pidiendo elecciones si el PSOE no cierra la hemorragia de escándalos, ERC diciendo que la corrupción es sistémica y Sumar, consciente de que su cercanía al PSOE le puede pasar factura ante los casos de acoso y corrupción, pidiendo un cambio drástico en el Gobierno.
El papel de los socios y de los apoyos parlamentarios del Ejecutivo es complicado. Saben que pueden salir salpicados si no marcan distancias. Por eso se esfuerzan en mostrarse tajantes y exigen medidas contundentes que incluyen una remodelación del Consejo de Ministros, si bien los problemas están más en el Partido Socialista que en el Ejecutivo. Si su órdago no genera reacción en Moncloa, sólo les queda una opción: retirar el apoyo parlamentario unos, abandonar el Gobierno otros, y encomendarse a todos los dioses para que nadie presente una moción de censura que les obligue a retratarse. ¿Se atreverán a hacerlo, sabiendo que podría ser la puerta de entrada de Vox al Gobierno de España? Entre lo malo y lo peor.
La situación no es mejor en el interior del PSOE. Asediado por las presuntas tramas de corrupción que se van conociendo y por denuncias de acosos ocultados o no gestionados con la diligencia debida, el fuego amigo se multiplica. Quienes llevan tiempo esperando su momento empiezan a moverse, y los que ven que llegan curvas se posicionan para el día después. Todo se mezcla en un mejunje de presunta corrupción, acoso, amistades peligrosas y vendettas pendientes. ¿Cuándo caen los líderes? Cuando su partido les deja caer.
Así las cosas, el presidente Sánchez sigue afirmando su voluntad de agotar la legislatura para avanzar en el camino del progreso y cerrar el paso a un gobierno de la extrema derecha y la derecha extremada. La pregunta es obligada: en el caso de que los socios y los parlamentarios propios mantengan su apoyo, y el interior del partido no acabe por implosionar, ¿sigue siendo posible avanzar en políticas progresistas, o la situación va a exigir un ejercicio de contorsionismo como el que se exhibió en el proyecto de ley de multirreincidencia propuesto por Junts y que contará con el apoyo de PP, Vox y el PSOE?
Si la respuesta es positiva, Sánchez deberá esforzarse no sólo en cortar de cuajo, como secretario general que es del PSOE, los problemas de acoso y la negligente gestión de las denuncias y limpiar cualquier atisbo de corrupción de su entorno. Tendrá que hacer creíble, además, que pone todo su empeño en ello y demostrarlo con hechos concretos. Los cinco días de abril en los que el presidente reflexionó sobre su continuidad acabaron con el anuncio de un plan de regeneración del que nada más se supo; el escándalo provocado por el informe de la UCO donde se destapaban las presuntas tramas de corrupción alrededor de Ábalos, Koldo y Cerdán dio lugar a un nuevo anuncio de un plan de integridad del que tampoco se conocen apenas avances. Es difícil que los socios vuelvan a confiar por tercera vez si se les vuelve a pedir un acto de fe.
Si, por el contrario, la continuidad de las políticas progresistas no es posible, ya nada tendrá sentido, y cuanto antes termine el drama, antes podrán los socialistas, y el conjunto de la izquierda, iniciar la travesía por el desierto.
La próxima semana, si las encuestas no se equivocan mucho, el PSOE sufrirá una dura derrota donde en otro momento tuvo uno de sus feudos, nada menos que Extremadura, con un candidato imputado que provocó la dimisión de cinco compañeros para conseguir el aforamiento. Hasta el verano, al menos, tres convocatorias más –Aragón, Castilla y León y Andalucía–, con perspectivas poco halagüeñas para los progresistas. La suicida estrategia de situar a ministras como secretarias generales y candidatas en sus territorios ha puesto en bandeja que los populares se vayan cobrando piezas. A tenor de las previsiones, la primera, la de la portavoz y ministra de Educación Pilar Alegría; la segunda, nada menos que la vicepresidenta primera y ministra de Hacienda.
Lo peor que podrían hacer quienes dirigen La Moncloa, el PSOE y el país es negar la gravedad de la situación, esperar a que las vacaciones y el tiempo desinflen el soufflé y aguardar a que los acuerdos PP-Vox que se van a ir cerrando en las Comunidades Autónomas vuelvan a producir una movilización de la izquierda y una desmovilización de los conservadores más moderados, como ocurrió el 23J. Se olvidan de que el electorado progresista no perdona tan fácilmente, que estos casos pesan como losas en la memoria y la moral de su militancia, y que Vox, a tenor de todas las encuestas, ha dejado de dar miedo para pasar a normalizarse como una opción más. Podrán consolarse con que el PP, en el peor momento de la izquierda, no acaba de despegar, y es cierto. Pero soñar con que la subida de la ultraderecha humille a los populares no deja de ser incubar el huevo de la serpiente. Presidente, haga el balance.

Alvise oculta qué empresa española le paga como consultor pese al código de conducta de la Eurocámara
Alvise Pérez ha cobrado 106.000 euros de una o varias empresas españolas desde que es eurodiputado. Así lo ha revelado infoLibre después de que el propio líder de Se acabó la fiesta (SALF) lo haya reconocido al presentar una modificación de su declaración de intereses ante el Parlamento Europeo para indicar que ha ingresado ese dinero por labores de "consultor freelance en redes sociales y comunicación". Pero, ¿para qué empresa o empresas? No se sabe y el eurodiputado se niega a aclararlo.
Los europarlamentarios están obligados a presentar estas declaraciones de intereses y mantenerlas actualizadas. Estos documentos deben detallar las actividades e ingresos que tengan antes y durante su mandato, con la intención de poder fiscalizarlos y evitar conflictos de intereses. El código de conducta del Parlamento Europeo, que especifica cómo las tienen que rellenar, establece que deben indicar "cualquier actividad remunerada realizada paralelamente al ejercicio del cargo, incluido el nombre de la entidad" de la que reciban ingresos.
A pesar de ello, Alvise oculta el nombre de la empresa o empresas que le han pagado e indica únicamente que se trata de compañías "españolas" y "del sector de la comunicación". Tal y como explica a infoLibre Raphaël Kergueno, responsable de Políticas de Transparencia Internacional Unión Europea (UE), los eurodiputados que trabajan como autónomos —como es el caso de Alvise— en muchas ocasiones detallanúnicamente la cantidad total de sus ingresos y la actividad a la que se dedican de forma genérica, sin especificar quiénes son sus clientes.
De hecho, Alvise asegura a infoLibre que ha rellenado la declaración de intereses de la forma que le ha dicho el Parlamento Europeo. Según el eurodiputado, la Eurocámara le comunicó que "el código de conducta no se aplica a los ingresos que declaramos los eurodiputados cada trimestre de varias empresas".
infoLibre ha preguntado al Parlamento si esto es cierto, pero el equipo de la institución ha rechazado dar detalles de la posible conversación con Alvise porque no comentan casos individuales. Aun así, el Parlamento Europeo asegura que las declaraciones deben "contener una lista detallada de información, incluyendo cualquier actividad remunerada que se realice paralelamente al ejercicio del cargo" y reitera a infoLibre que los eurodiputados deben indicar el "nombre de la entidad" de la que cobran, algo que Alvise no ha hecho.
Kergueno explica que la redacción del código de conducta sobre este asunto no es del todo clara y eso da lugar a este tipo de problemas. La última vez que Transparencia Internacional estudió las declaraciones de intereses de los eurodiputados fue a finales de 2024, con la formación del nuevo hemiciclo tras las elecciones de ese año. La ONG denunció que varios eurodiputados habían declarado de forma opaca actividades "como 'trabajador autónomo' o 'miembro del consejo de supervisión' [de una empresa] (sin indicar a qué entidad podría pertenecer)".
En 2023 la misma organización analizó al detalle la información de los parlamentarios que afirmaban trabajar como autónomos. La conclusión fue que el 42% omitía datos clave en sus declaraciones de intereses, como es el caso del nombre de sus clientes, al igual que ha hecho Alvise.
Los eurodiputados pueden trabajar para empresas privadas mientras están en el cargo, pero tienen determinadas limitaciones. No pueden ejercer labores de lobby si están remuneradas y vinculadas a la UE ni trabajar para compañías que puedan suponer un conflicto de intereses durante su mandato parlamentario. La ocultación de quién está pagando a Alvise impide saber si en su caso se da alguna de esas dos circunstancias.
Alvise Pérez se ha negado a aclarar a infoLibre para quién trabaja o ha trabajado, pero asegura que "no son un lobby ni nada que condicione mi mandato". El eurodiputado define la empresa o empresas como de "asesoría y comunicación" y "de lo mío", sin mayor explicación al respecto.
Pero Kergueno deja clara la importancia de conocer de quién cobran los eurodiputados: "Revelar la identidad de los clientes es necesario para poder evaluar si existe algún conflicto de intereses derivado de una actividad externa, como la de los eurodiputados que trabajan como consultores o abogados. Sin esa información, no se puede evaluar si existe o no el conflicto de intereses", cuenta el miembro del capítulo europeo de Transparencia Internacional.
En la misma línea se explica Vicky Cann, investigadora de Corporate Europe Observatory, una organización que denuncia la influencia de las empresas y sus grupos de presión en las políticas de la UE. Cann detalla a infoLibre que "no hay justificación para ocultar los nombres de los clientes que han pagado por servicios de consultoría". "La transparencia debe ser lo mínimo que podemos exigir en este caso, ya que, de lo contrario, nadie puede comprender el alcance de los conflictos de intereses, si ese trabajo tiene vínculos directos o indirectos con la labor parlamentaria, o en qué medida podría constituir una labor de lobby", remata.
En el caso de Alvise, es muy probable que ese pago corresponda a una única empresa. En una entrevista este mes de octubre el eurodiputado aseguró: "Solo con una asesoría mía cobro 106.000 pavos [sic]". Y solo dos semanas después actualizó su declaración de intereses para añadir que había ingresado, precisamente, 106.000 euros.
Raphaël Kergueno explica, como se ha señalado, que esta falta de transparencia entre los parlamentarios se produce "porque la normativa es confusa" y por la falta de supervisión de la Eurocámara. El experto pone como ejemplo a los eurodiputados que ejercen como autónomos o aquellos que trabajan para consultorías o despachos de abogados. Aunque la normativa exige de forma genérica que indiquen el "nombre de la entidad" de la que cobran, para ese tipo concreto de casos no especifica que deban detallar todos los clientes a los que se factura. Según explica Kergueno, en la práctica a los eurodiputados que son autónomos "se les está permitiendo no identificar a sus clientes".
En las respuestas a infoLibre, Alvise afirma que ha rellenado la declaración de la forma que le ha dicho "la propia Administración del Parlamento a través del servicio responsable de la verificación de las declaraciones de intereses" y que, aunque no sea público, él remite al Parlamento no solo la declaración de intereses, sino "toda la información" sobre estos ingresos, incluyendo el nombre de la empresa e, incluso, las "facturas".
infoLibre ha preguntado a la Eurocámara por la veracidad de todas estas afirmaciones, pero la institución ha declinado valorar casos personales. Kergueno dice que la supuesta orientación que el Parlamento Europeo habría dado a Alvise indicando que hay que rellenar la declaración de intereses sin listar los clientes concretos podría ser cierta. Coincide también Cann, que asegura que no le sorprendería, aunque añade que "no se ajustaría al espíritu de la ley ni a una aplicación ambiciosa de las normas éticas con el fin de crear una cultura de transparencia y responsabilidad" en Bruselas.
De todos modos, como se ha explicado, esa falta de transparencia sobre las empresas de las que cobran los eurodiputados no se da solo en el caso de Alvise. A pesar de ser algo recurrente, no ha habido sanciones por ello, según asegura Transparencia Internacional UE, organización que lleva años investigando el asunto.
El código de conducta de los eurodiputados no solo establece cómo deben cumplimentar la declaración de intereses, sino que también posibilita las sanciones para cuando lo hacen mal. Pero "el Parlamento Europeo nunca ha sancionado a un eurodiputado por no identificar a los clientes de los que cobra como autónomo", explica Kergueno. Tampoco hay constancia de que se le haya pedido a ninguno que añada esa información, aunque los detalles de las investigaciones sobre las declaraciones de los eurodiputados son privados —únicamente se hacen públicas las sanciones finales al respecto—.
Aun así, ha habido otros casos sonados. Uno de ellos es el de la actual ministra de Cultura francesa, Rachida Dati, que fue eurodiputada entre 2009 y 2019. En su tiempo en la Eurocámara, indicaba simplemente que recibía ingresos paralelos como "abogada", pero no declaraba quién le estaba pagando por ello. En su declaración de intereses de 2018 aseguraba cobrar por esas labores 16.000 euros brutos mensuales.
Tras diversas investigaciones periodísticas, se pudo saber que había recibido grandes cantidades de dinero de empresas como Renault. De hecho, la Justicia francesa la está investigando por, presuntamente, haber cobrado 900.000 euros por trabajos de asesoría para la empresa automovilística que, en realidad, no realizó. Todo ello mientras tenía escaño en Bruselas.
"Se desveló que trabajaba para empresas como Renault y que la cantidad que cobraba era significativamente mayor a lo que declaraba. Todo ello gracias a la prensa. En ningún momento el Parlamento Europeo le preguntó quiénes eran sus clientes o para quién trabajaba cuando finalmente resultó que había un caso real y claro de conflicto de intereses. Estaba utilizando su posición para favorecer a las empresas de las que cobraba", explica Kergueno.
Por ello, hay quien directamente defiende la prohibición para los eurodiputados de ejercer labores de consultoría paralelamente a su labor parlamentaria, como hacía Dati o está haciendo Alvise. Cann asegura que "todas estas funciones de consultoría deberían prohibirse, ya que este tipo de trabajo, ya sea como abogado o como consultor, implica cobrar dinero de unos clientes y existe un alto riesgo de que los intereses de esos clientes entren en conflicto o incluso superen al interés público, que debería ser la motivación principal de todos los cargos electos".

I have partially resolved the issue I mentioned in my #EmacsConf2025 presentation, regarding the closure of a lambda not correctly capturing it’s environment.
I say “partially” resolved because my solution works well, but does not consider let-bound variables, that is, variables declared locally to the closure using the let keyword mask variables of the same name in the closure environment. A correct implementation will simply not include those variables in the closure environment. This can sometimes impact garbage collection, since a closure may be holding variable which retains a large amount of memory, but that variable not accessible anywhere since it is masked by the let-bound variables in the closure.
However, I am eager to keep things moving, so I am merging this PR and opening a new issue to resolve the let-bindings problem. To find out more, see issue #62 on Codeberg.

CPUs pretending to be single-thread-single-core devices, so programmers build elaborate dispatch multiplexers on top of them, OSes aping PDP11s for their guest code,. SOCs pretending to be hard drives, etc etc.
There's this wild live-action plato's cave metaphor-psychodrama going on in all of our machines all the time and ... nobody knows that.
