The Tampa Bay Times identified 49 people with connections to the utility who testified in support of the rate hikes. They are from foundations, charities, chambers of commerce and other organizations that have been the beneficiary of support from Florida Power & Light. The connections range from direct payments to companies and nonprofits to having a utility employee serving on their boards.

Nearly all my research is done on the internet, I use Pinterest to compile references and mood boards, I use photo editors to figure out scale, I draw vectors and build 3D models on them, and there's probably a lot more that I don't even think about.

I use a computer to view the online materials for a weekly watercolor class I take a few times a year; to join the online, real time paint-along class, to view reference photos, and to post to a group of fellow students—many of whom are “groupies” of the teacher, myself included
I also use tech (a tablet) to mark up the reference photos to help me approach the painting
