The image shows a simple pencil drawing on lined notebook paper. The drawing depicts a stick figure with a triangular head, two small circular eyes, and a small dot for a mouth. The figure has a pointed hat and is holding up two small heart shapes, one in each hand. The body is a straight line with a square torso and two circular feet. The figure is positioned slightly to the left of the center of the image. To the right of the figure, the text "IT'S GIMBY!" is written in a casual, handwritten style. The background consists of blue horizontal lines typical of lined notebook paper, with a shadow visible on the paper, suggesting the image was taken with a flash.

A5: Nothing is really coming to mind for a part of my making that I'd like to see slowed down. During one of my recent builds I did a time lapse video for the first time, showing pewter buckles melting, and that was VERY satisfying. I think most of the work I do would be far more interesting sped up than slowed down.

When the choices are between Google, Microsoft, and Apple for my navigation needs, it makes me want to pull my hair out.
Though a good FOSS alternative is CoMaps. Runs purely off OpenMaps, lets you download maps locally, and is significantly more private. Not perfect, has its quirks, but it's definitely capable.
Served me on a 4 hour drive cutting through a massive major city that's notorious to drive in. Downloaded straight to my Pixel running Graphine OS from F-Droid.

The video showcases a modern exhibition space with a blue wall as the central focus. Initially, a projector mounted on the wall displays a dynamic visual effect resembling flames in yellow and orange hues, which then transitions to the word "Panasonic" in white, glowing letters. The background features a sleek, dark blue wall with a narrow window and a small display panel, while a desk with a computer monitor and a colorful poster is visible to the left. A person in a white shirt and dark pants walks past the wall, interacting with the projection.
The scene continues with the same blue wall, now displaying a white, cloud-like projection forming a circular shape. The person in the white shirt and dark pants reappears, gesturing towards the projection, which remains consistent in its circular form. The background elements, including the desk, computer monitor, and colorful poster, remain unchanged. The video concludes with the circular projection still visible on the wall, with the person no longer in the frame.

In 25 years of U.S. mass shootings, only 2 were committed by a trans or nonbinary person. Out of hundreds.
The DOJ even thinking about banning trans Americans from owning guns isn’t about safety. Iit’s scapegoating and discrimination, plain and simple.

#washingtonstate just issued a public health standing order to allow individuals 6 months and older to access #covid #covid19 vaccines from a health care provider: doh.wa.gov/sites/default/files….
I ~think~ the impact on this is that people between 6 months and 65 years who are healthy can get the vaccine in Washington State without having to get an off-label prescription from a doctor. Which is great! I am less clear if this means the vaccines will be available at all pharmacies, or whether insurance will cover the cost.
UPDATE: the state has a FAQ on the COVID standing order for the public here: doh.wa.gov/sites/default/files…

in reply to Jackie 🍉🏳️⚧️☭ • • •Oh really, Jackie?
There is no metric that isn't worse now. People whose egos prompted them to abstain from voting for the Black lady, have caused everything to be worse.
It's now worse for Gaza, for LGBTQ +, for people of color, for people with chronic illness, for Ukraine, ...
Jackie 🍉🏳️⚧️☭
in reply to Matthew Loxton • • •Matthew Loxton
in reply to Jackie 🍉🏳️⚧️☭ • • •That's not the point though, is it?
The point is whether the outcomes are better or worse.
We had a choice of A or B, this lens or that lens, this outcome or that outcome.
Americans voted to have a worse outcome for pretty much everyone, and that is THEIR choice, and theirs alone.
Jackie 🍉🏳️⚧️☭
in reply to Matthew Loxton • • •we had 3 choices: genocide, more genocide, and abstaining on genocide.
There was no "no vote".
Matthew Loxton
in reply to Jackie 🍉🏳️⚧️☭ • • •And we chose "more genocide".
So that sure worked out peachy

in reply to Matthew Loxton • • •I think that you are ignoring that millions of lives are at stake if the far right isn't stopped in a reasonable timeframe, and the Dems are too busy courting billionaires and promoting naked MAGA lite policy to actually do what their voters want them to. (Gavin newsom homeless sweeps are an example)
Radical politics isn't for everyone I guess
Matthew Loxton
in reply to Jackie 🍉🏳️⚧️☭ • • •And how does one stop the right wing by not voting, or by spoiling one's vote on a candidate that cannot possibly win?
Like Ma'am, we are going to agree on pretty much everything on what outcomes we want. What pisses me off is that you choose a method that is guaranteed not to improve any of those things.
Had the Black woman won, all these things would have been better, and now all those things are worse.
So I am not getting your reasoning about how we help these millions
Jackie 🍉🏳️⚧️☭
in reply to Matthew Loxton • • •I think that it would not have made any real difference in the long run if Kamala won, because the Democrats have a long history of letting the far right win major victories under their presidencies. They don't fuckin do anything to stop the Republicans, at best they do delay tactics.
What Kamala would have done is maintain American brutality with a progressive face, like Obama did, and let fascist extremism fester in the Republican states until it leads to a figure like Trump (or worse).
Matthew Loxton
in reply to Jackie 🍉🏳️⚧️☭ • • •You really don't think we are no worse off now?
Really?
Gestapo disappearing people?
Concentration camps?
Increased military action in Gaza, and real actual serious discussion of removing them entirely and selling the territory to developers?
Trans people simply vanished?
Gays persecuted and their rights stripped?
I mean I could carry on for days listing all the things that are now far worse, before I even get to the millions of people who are going to starve or die
Jackie 🍉🏳️⚧️☭
in reply to Matthew Loxton • • •Trans people haven't vanished overnight. Their erasure is gradual, not instantaneous.
And many of the worst anti trans policies were passed by Republican states under a Democratic president.
Jackie 🍉🏳️⚧️☭
in reply to Jackie 🍉🏳️⚧️☭ • • •I am a trans person in a Republican state.
Legal recognition is impossible for me to obtain.
It is illegal for me to use the bathroom I would prefer to use.
It is legally allowed for healthcare to be withheld from me.
My state has actually erased protections for trans people from the law entirely.
None of this was new. A lot of this was a thing in 2024 and 2023 as well.

But if you want things to get better rather than worse, you have to show up, and you have to select the individuals on the ballot that represent the best chance of getting improvement.

in reply to Matthew Loxton • • •no, voting hasn't moved us forward for DECADES. I still remember Obama going back on his promise to codify Roe V. Wade into law as soon as he was elected with a supermajority. Or completely abandoning even the idea of a public option during ACA talks and giving republicans half the committee to draft what was essentially the Heritage Foundation's answer to universal healthcare.
The only thing that will improve things is direct action. Fuck your electioneering bullshit.
Matthew Loxton
in reply to McPoops • • •"voting hasn't moved us forward for DECADES"
The fuck it hasn't
If you think we haven't made progress then I wonder if you are drinking Russian kool-aide

in reply to Matthew Loxton • • •voting didn't move us forward. Every single concession the state makes to LGBT people is written in the blood of LGBT people.
Just as the near-complete abolition of chattel slavery in the US was won through abolitionist terrorism, a whole war over slavery, and the violent resistance of slaves. And not voting
Matthew Loxton
in reply to Jackie 🍉🏳️⚧️☭ • • •Oh complete and utter bullshit, Jackie
EVERY single advancement for civil rights have come through legislation, and legislation ONLY comes from voting in the person who writes those laws. If you don't get your person in, you don't get the laws and you don't advance
There is ZERO other mechanism for exercising power available that will progress us
