The video captures a red sports car driving on a street lined with spectators. The car, adorned with a circular sticker on its side, navigates a curve, loses control, and crashes into a barrier. The impact causes significant damage to the car, with debris scattering across the road. Spectators, some standing behind barriers, react to the crash, with one person gesturing towards the scene. The car comes to a stop, heavily damaged, with parts scattered around. Emergency personnel in orange vests approach the scene, indicating a response to the incident. The background features residential buildings and a cloudy sky, suggesting an overcast day. The video concludes with the car stationary, the scene chaotic, and emergency personnel attending to the aftermath.

Blogparade: Bar oder unbar

blog.sengotta.net/blogparade-b…

The Xbox ROG Ally launches October 16.

The base model is pegged at $550, while the premium configuration climbs to $900. That puts it well above most handheld competitors.

On the plus side, the display is earning early praise, and the ergonomics are said to be excellent. This is a machine designed to feel good in your hands for long sessions.

Still, many doubt whether sharp visuals and comfort can truly offset a price tag this steep. And that’s the real question—whether the experience justifies the investment.

The video features a split-screen view throughout its duration. The top half of the screen shows the interior of a vehicle, where a person wearing an orange and white high-visibility jacket is seated in the driver's seat. The person is engaged in a phone conversation, as indicated by the text 'on the phone' displayed at the bottom of the screen. The vehicle's dashboard and rearview camera feed show the person interacting with items on the passenger seat, including a cardboard box and some papers. The timestamp on the top half of the screen reads '23/04/2024 09:20:00' and updates incrementally throughout the video.

The bottom half of the screen displays an external view of the road, captured by a dashcam. The road is mostly empty, with a few vehicles passing by. The timestamp on the bottom half of the screen reads '23/04/2024 09:20:01' and also updates incrementally. The text 'on the phone' is consistently displayed at the bottom of the screen, reinforcing the context of the person's ongoing phone conversation.

The video captures the person's actions and the surrounding environment, providing a clear view of the interior and exterior of the vehicle. The timestamps on both halves of the screen indicate the progression of time, with the top half showing the person's activities and the bottom half showing the road ahead. The video concludes with the person still engaged in the phone conversation, with the timestamp on the top half of the screen reading '23/04/2024 09:21:15.'

Not many people know that back in the 1900s, a fedora hat was something completely different from what we consider a fedora today. More like a loose term. In the US, even a Homburg might have been called a fedora.

I’m not sure if we can trust it, but I came across an opinion that the modern understanding of the fedora solidified a bit later on.

Here’s an old catalogue — have a look at the fedora hat section.

The image is a page from a catalog titled "HATS AND CAPS" from the Fall and Winter Catalogue (No. 43), 1899-1900. It features a grid layout with illustrations and descriptions of various men's hats. The page is divided into three main sections: "Men's Silk and Stiff Hats," "Men's Modern Hats," and "Men's Fedora Hats." Each section contains several hat styles, numbered from A331 to A348, with detailed descriptions of materials, colors, and prices. The hats are depicted in black and white, showcasing different styles such as top hats, bowler hats, and fedoras. The text provides information about the quality, materials, and price of each hat, reflecting the fashion trends of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

sometimes randomly I remember my college, which in various ways, were paid over $100,000 for my attendance, that when it came to graduation time they sent out a notice of where we could BUY our graduation gowns that were required to participate for $80.

You couldn't even supply the GRADUATION GOWNS? $100 per student was too rich for your blood huh?!

I did not participate lol.

My high school diploma had a nice booklet cover thing. My college diploma came in a tube. I pulled it out, looked at it, shoved it back in the tube and never took it out again.

The video begins with a scene on a wooden deck of a ship, where a person in a yellow rain suit stands facing turbulent ocean waves. The deck is wet, and large yellow lifeboats are visible on the left. The person appears to be bracing against the force of the waves, which are crashing against the ship's structure. The scene transitions to a closer view of the person, now seen from the side, holding onto the ship's railing as waves crash over the deck, splashing water onto the person. The ship's red hull and the turbulent sea are visible in the background. The video then shifts to the interior of the ship, where water is pouring in through a large opening, flooding the corridor and splashing against the metal walls and floor. The final frames show the water continuing to pour in, creating a chaotic and turbulent scene inside the ship, with the ocean visible through the opening. The video captures the harsh conditions at sea, highlighting the challenges faced by those working on the ship.
