I revere the Guardian, which covers the political scene with vastly more integrity than the New York Times and other major US outlets. But like every other Big Journalism organization, it misuses the word "conservative" to describe extremism. Example:

Conservative is a polite way of saying ignorant in today's world and that encapsulates both media outlets that were mentioned succinctly.
Right-leaning is the modern speak for racist/fascist in modern journalism, isn't it? By that measure I think they got it right in their report.
