in reply to Strypey • • •I've said it before and I'll say it again, I agree with Adbusters. Not only are reputation laundering jobs like "marketing", "advertising" and "PR" a waste of creative talent, they're all forms of psychological-abuse-as-a-service.
Their job is manipulating people's thinking in the interests of a third party, which is a form of abuse.
Imagine if all the money spent on laundering an organisation's reputation was instead used to improve the UX of their services. Especially public services.
