ironically (except unfortunately irony is dead) - conservatives happen to embody all seven deadly sins:
- pride: they are proud of a worthless heritage of hate and self-superiority they did not earn.
- greed: they pilfer the commons to enrich themselves.
- wrath: they believe their neighbor to be the cause of their struggles so they seek to tear their neighbor down.
- envy: they look to their upper echelon and want to be that powerful, that envied, that brazenly self-centered and indifferent to others.
- lust: anywhere they look to control anything relating to sex, it is because they ashamedly enjoy that sex thing, whether it's actually something normal like just being gay (but having a complex about it) or insidiously devastating like pedophilia.
- gluttony: every capitalist (synonymous with conservative) seeks to extract the most capital, with no limit - in non-warped english: their cravings for wealth, possessions and power is NEVER satisfied.
- sloth: they offer "thoughts and prayers" but never "meals and rooms". they do not take any action unless it would benefit them.
I suggest retiring the word "conservative", it is breathtakingly deceptive. what are they conserving? there's nothing they don't have an opinion about how to change for their benefit, so they are just as liberal as liberals or leftists in terms of the scale of what they want changed.
as the idiom goes:
Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: there must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.
call them what they simply are: "possessives", or "regressives" if you like. they want what you have, they want what the government has, they want what their evil idols have, they want to control you, they want they want they want. capitalism metastasized, or maybe it's capitalism that's finally faithful to the core tenets realized.

i was thinking about how i dont understand cursor and copilot etc. like the hard part of programming is not really implementation, rather its keeping a cohesive and systematic overview, which LLMs are rather bad at doing (or at least very opaque in reasoning which is problematic when youre trying to architect something).
but i get it actually, its just corporate shit. autopasting code *does* give a productivity boost (at the likely sacrifice of long term maintainability)
