currently riding a train with @holo_memory, so of course we had to try nerdy things like install Xfce4 on MNT Pocket Reform. to my surprise, it's mega easy. "sudo apt install xfce4", and then the beta (?) wayland version of Xfce4 is available on the GDM login screen (cogwheel icon). i just had to configure the display rotation and scaling in Display Settings. and messed a bit with the font, theme, icons etc.
Xfce seem to have settled for labwc as the compositor, which is a good choice i think.

@kappazeta grazie per aver condiviso la tua esperienza! sì, ci devo pensare bene e quando sarò sicura, non tornerò finché non ho trovato un altro lavoro. io sto in Polonia da 8 mesi, quindi non da tanto. qui ho trovato l'unica azienda che mi ha risposto al mio CV e sto mettendo da parte un po' di esperienza per trovare poi altro.
again, non credo che sarebbe un ritorno definitivo: il mio ragazzo studia ingegneria nucleare, ha intenzione di fare una tesi all'estero e in tal caso lo seguirei. 1/2
@kappazeta sono sempre in movimento da 2 anni a questa parte, da quando sono partita per l'Erasmus in Belgio poi è stato un continuo spostarsi: Gent, Forlì, Grosseto, Lussemburgo, Grosseto, ora Cracovia, dove un po' di stabilità in più l'ho trovata in ambito lavorativo.
se decidessi di tornare, non lo farei subito, ecco... però almeno l'idea di un eventuale ritorno mi aiuta a sopportare i momenti in cui provo davvero tanta malinconia e solitudine. e so che non tornerei a casa dei miei stavolta!
