I’ve started doing figure drawings again after summer break. Trying to wrap my head around oil pastels, it’s a fun medium but still quite unfamiliar. I hope to be able to get some grip with it. I plan to start another reply thread with my weekly efforts on this.

El 10 de setembre, a la Catalunya Nord i també a la resta de l'estat francès, hi ha previstes mobilitzacions en contra dels pressupostos presentats pel govern Bayrou. Mixed feelings on Angela Rayner's resignation - the set-up was unavoidably complex so cock-up rather than conspiracy is likely, but underpaying tax is a big deal.

Last fall I was this mixed on was David Laws, which was kind of the opposite. Blatant breach, no cost to taxpayer (iirc).

(Also he was in a party I liked at the time - this wasn't yet far into coalition - but a wing I disliked, while she's in a wing I like within a party I currently dislike.)

¡Estrenamos servidor de Loops en TKZ!

Hace tiempo se anuncio por parte de los creadores de Pixelfed el desarrollo de una nueva plataforma federada para compartir videos cortos.

Esta nueva plataforma, Loops, ha abierto recientemente su código en su primera version v1.0-alpha1

Desde TKZ, y aprovechando que ya tenemos Pixelfed.es y son prácticamente hermanos, hemos trabajando para traer una instancia de Loops para la comunidad hispana y os invitamos a todos a probarla. 💖💖

Aunque aún no hay mucho contenido aún y acaban de empezar las pruebas, esperamos que os animéis a subir videos cortos de todo tipo. El equipo detrás del desarrollo de Loops nos indica que la federación estará disponible a partir del próximo fin de semana.

El uso de la plataforma es abierto y gratuito. Algunas notas para empezar:

• No hay aplicación móvil compatible aún, pero la interfaz web en el navagador está adaptada.
• El sistema es completamente funcional salvo la federación que no está habilitada públicamente aún por parte del software (no es cosa mía)
• Se pueden subir videos de lo que queráis, Loops.one no es una instancia temática.

But let’s be clear: swapping faces doesn’t change the rot. This isn’t about giving the country fresh leadership. It’s about covering up scandal, distracting from sleaze, and keeping power stitched up in the same tired hands.

Angela Rayner walked because of a scandal that should have ended her career long ago. Yet Starmer protected her until it was politically impossible. That’s not integrity, that’s weakness. Ordinary Britons are still crushed by soaring bills, crumbling services, unsafe streets, and an endless migrant crisis. Do you think moving David Lammy here or Yvette Cooper there is going to fix any of that? Of course not. It’s smoke and mirrors from a government that has no answers.

🇬🇧 Britain deserves real leadership, not another sham reshuffle. We need accountability, action, and a government that puts its people first. Until then, nothing changes.
