If, as Sir Laurie Magnus, the Govt.’s ethics adviser, concluded that, Angela Rayner’s “unfortunate failure” to settle her tax liability in the first instance (on legal advice), means she failed to meet the “highest possible standards of proper conduct”.... then either, the threshold of 'proper conduct' is somehow different for working class women, or there are an awful lot of minsters who may find their behaviour will also fail to meet this new (lower) threshold.

As far as her status as working class - she comes from a working class background, but I guess you could say she isn't any longer having become Deputy PM.... but if you want our legislators to be paid the average UK wage, that suggests a rather different political point
I know the background of Angela Rayner.
She had a very hard start in a working class family.
At the time of her resignation she was executive level
I included medan wage to show the tax evasion was around a years earnings for working people
We should also note sewage speech emitter Farage saved a similar sum by letting his partner purchase a property
assume Rayner did what others told her was normal and tripped up on details.
I hope others also face consequences

The European Commission has slapped Google with a €2.95 billion fine for abusing its dominance in the search advertising market through "self-preferencing" practices, according to a new ft.com/content/8f8bcd37-2e39-4…
report. The EU ordered Google to end these behaviors within two months or risk a potential breakup. This marks one of the largest EU fines against a company, following the €4.12 billion Android fine in 2018.
EU competition chief Teresa Ribera warned Google to draw up a "serious remedy to address its conflicts of interest, and if it fails to do so, we will not hesitate to impose strong remedies."
Lee-Anne Mulholland, Google's global head of regulatory affairs, called the fine "unjustified" and said "it requires changes that will hurt thousands of European businesses by making it harder for them to make money."

The commission's investigation began around 2021, with formal charges issued in 2023. Brussels warned back then that the only solution for Google might be breaking up its ad-tech business.
Not since US v Microsoft, filed in 1998, has Silicon Valley been so threatened.
Meanwhile, in the US, Google earlier this week avoided a breakup order after a judge ruled against forcing divestitures of Chrome or Android. Instead, Google must share more data and stop exclusive distribution deals.
