Sometimes people are like well what hot sauces do you all have in Singapore / Malaysia / Indonesia then? Well I don’t remember really buying them in jars or at a shop.. usually it was something someone made. Hot sauce in a jar, in a shop, is a new to me experience (this is changing, but even up until very recently only the very consumer manufactured and terrible brands had those things. Or maybe one or two shops famous for their hot sauce)

My favorite thing about attempting to immigrate is discovering just how much noncooperation there is between anything. The simplest way to immigrate seems to be to die in your current country and be born in the target country.
I think the nearest equivalent actually achievable is to quit all the jobs you have, end tenancies and insurance in your home-country, and the very next day somehow acquire a job housing insurance and all of that stuff at the new country.
