I think that the linux community needs to come to terms about the state of Linux for new users. I hate the direction of Windows, but ultimately if I want to run something Windows, if I open the executable it will probably run. On linux you have to be aware of dependencies and your specific environment for even basic stuff. It's kind of inevitable you'll end up pasting commands you found online into the terminal trying to get stuff to work, and that is not fun.
This is coming from someone who really, really wants to like Linux, but every time I switch for a month or two, it's a relief going back to Windows at the end. I think saying Linux is easier is setting an unrealistic expectation for people who don't use Linux

Since a lot of people are trying out #Linux for the first time these days, just wanted to throw down a #PSA that not even many Linux users realize...
The #Swap #partition is NOT just Virtual #Memory, though it can be used for that. It's meant to be a space for the OS to cache all sorts of things, including storing the #RAM contents in Hibernate mode, and can significantly improve performance.
Personally, I'd stick it at the end of your #SSD, where you can always shrink it later for more Program Storage, and give yourself enough to hibernate.

I found a small alternative crossword puzzle game, which has ads. I haven’t yet determined whether I can switch them off.

I have a budget allocated, but I understand if she wants nothing to do with me or Loops.
I think that would be quite a redemption arc, a happy ending that gets her paid to help make Loops even better.
The offer still stands.
