The former EU foreign policy chief #josepborrell has launched a blistering attack on Israel, accusing its government of committing #genocide in #Gaza and “carrying out the largest ethnic-cleansing operation since the end of the second world war“

“Europe has the capacity and the means not only to protest against what is going on but also to influence [Israel’s] conduct,” he said. “But it is not doing so. We supply half the bombs that are falling on Gaza.“

3 Use Recommended Gear
The camera you use will not transform your images into beautiful ones, but it is significant to invest in specific photographic equipment. A tripod, camera, and lenses are necessary equipment for commercial photography. In terms of camera, it does not matter, if you are capturing using a DSLR or Mirrorless camera. Both will do a great job. But, in lenses, you can choose from a fixed lens or zoom lens, or both.

Denmark and Italy seek support to rein in European human rights court

The aim, Italian sources said, is to start a conversation on how the human rights convention is interpreted, one that better reflects the “challenges of modern irregular migration.”

Rather think that immigration has done incalculable damage to politicians who fail to understand that appeasing extremists doesn't mollify them, it emboldens them.

Economically his claim is absolutely incoherent.

Ethically it's unconscionable.

Morally it's repugnant.

Fuck — and I say this most sincerely, folks — fuck Labour for it's cowardice and absence of principle.

Israel has grown politically bright red while American Jews remain proudly deep blue. Two-thirds of Israelis questioned told pollsters they preferred Donald Trump over Kamala Harris; the exact opposite held true among American Jews.

The image is a map of Europe with a focus on France, highlighted in dark blue. A blue box overlay on the map provides specific data about France. The text within the box reads: "France, Statements of support collected online: 139,778, Threshold: 55,695, Percentage: 250.97%." The map shows various countries in different shades of blue, with France being the most prominent. The background is white, and the map outlines the geographical boundaries of the countries. The data suggests that France has collected significantly more statements of support online than the threshold set, as indicated by the percentage exceeding 250%.

zwischendurch mal kurz die schönen Tulpen im Vorgarten des Hauses festgehalten
in reply to Sarah

Located 190 km away from Cerro Paranal, Llullaillaco is a regular feature on the horizon seen from ESO’s Very Large Telescope (VLT). With a height of 6723m, it stands tall as one of the highest volcanoes in the world — although it hasn’t erupted since 1877.

in reply to tripleman, a 🇨🇦 in 🇩🇪

@tripleman classic example is the cathedral and train station in Cologne, but I like the station. I also didn't hate the modern buildings in the pic I posted above, but I do get how this can be upsetting and maybe not appropriate. Do you make the old parts of a city into a protected park or something? Or try to integrate more sympathetic modern buildings to complement them?
in reply to SK

I think it's a bit of a 'read the room' type deal. One can integrate the old into the new — the new white building in the image you posted, for example. It's not gorgeous but it doesn't put its thumb in your eye like the others. — along the edges of historic districts. There's plenty of room for architectural ego and cheap-ass developers to stuff their monstrosities elsewhere in the cities. I'm really not against modern architecture, just a little respect for the old stuff would be nice.
