Belanger’s “Fake Shadows” are a delightful interplay of reality and illusion. The artist added painted false shadows to common street objects, such as bike racks, benches, mailboxes, and even a manhole cover, turning them into whimsical creatures and objects. For example, a parking meter’s shadow becomes a monkey’s tail, a mailbox casts the shadow of a dragon, and a bike rack’s shadow transforms into a monkey on a tree.

From cracked concrete spheres resembling cartoon characters to tree trunks that appear to “smile,” his work transforms mundane surroundings into delightful scenes.
In collaboration with students from Dimitar Petrov Primary School in Sliven, Krastev brought his funny approach to the International Youth Center in Primorsko. Armed with googly eyes, the children explored their environment, turning ordinary shapes into imaginative faces. This unique form of street art is simple but also creative. It invites everyone to see the world with a fresh perspective.

"Bedrängnis" ist eine schüchterne Untertreibung für die Situation, eine pflegebedürftige Person allein zu Hause versorgen zu müssen - neben dem eigenen 40h-Job, versteht sich. Wenn Immobilität und/oder Inkontinenz im Spiel ist, macht die Pflegeperson das ein paar Tage, vielleicht ein paar Wochen, und bricht dann selbst zusammen. Das ist nicht machbar, ein Dominoeffekt.
Apropos Pflegepersonal: Man gehe mal in ein beliebiges Pflegeheim und spitze einfach die Ohren, woher das Personal kommt. Dann klingt "Maximale Zurückweisung an den Grenzen" wie die bescheuerte Idee, die sie von Anfang an war.
Wer keinen engagierten Menschen hat, der für die Rechte kämpft, weil der pflegebedürftige Mensch es selbst nicht mehr kann - wird der mit seinem Pflegebett vor die Tür des Pflegeheimes geschoben?
Der eigentliche Skandal ist doch, dass die Altersrente + Pflegeversicherung bei Weitem nicht mehr ausreicht. Erlebe das gerade in der Verwandtschaft. Frau war immer berufstätig und hat zusammen mit der Witwenrente gar keine so kleine Rente. Ein Großteil der Ersparnisse gingen drauf, als der Mann nach Schlaganfall mit Demenz ins Pflegeheim zog. Nun ist sie mit 90 selbst pflegebedürftig und schämt sich, zum Sozialfall zu werden, weil die Rente für Zuzahlung nicht genug ist.
