The State of Georgia is keeping a deceased pregnant woman on life support against her family’s wishes.
The reason? She was 9 weeks pregnant at the time of her death and the State has a strict abortion ban.
They’ve turned her into a vessel for a fetus who has low odds of survival anyways (brain death drastically impairs the hormones necessary to grow a healthy baby)
This is torture. The family don’t want this, they don’t believe their daughter would have wanted this, and if the fetus survives it won’t have a mother.
It’s likely to be severely disabled, and the same government forcing this birth are trying to cut Medicaid for disabled children.
Forced birth is unimaginably cruel.
