ymmärrän tällaisen käytön ahdistuksen omahoidossa hyvin, mut yhteiskunnallisesti tuo on kapea ja tekee kansalaisvaikuttamisen näkymättömäksi ja tehottomaksi, vaikka sillä nimenomaan on saatu ja saadaan aikaan poliittista painetta ja muutosta. Kuinka nopeasti, niin se on eri asia.
@diiccix Ihan hyvä pointti. Mutta koko stoalaisen mentaliteetin idea on, ettei kuluta itseään asioilla, jotka eivät ole millään tavalla vaikutuspiirissäsi. Kuva ei ole itse tekemäni ja on hieman piikikäs karikatyyri, mutta pointti on että aurinko nousee ja laskee ilman minuakin ja vaikka tekisit mitä, et voi säätilaa hallita. Siksi sitä sadepäivää ei kannata liikaa murehtia.
@diiccix Minä näen nuo kehällä olevat asiat niin, että kun on vaikka asetettu tietty veroprosentti tai saatu tietty vaalitulos niin juuri sillä hetkellä ei kannata käyttää liikaa energiaa sen murehtimiseen, että näin kävi ja voi kun olisi mennyt toisin. Se ei poissulje sitä etteikö voisi ajaa eteenpäin haluamiaan asioita, joihin uskoo voivansa vaikuttaa, mutta menneiden vaalien tulokseen tai vasta tehtyihin veronkorotuksiin on hankala juuri siltä istumalta enää/vielä vaikuttaa. En tiedä saatteko kiinni ajatuksestani? Mutta tuo on kyllä helppo tulkita myös kannustimena olla yrittämättä mitään, jos sen haluaa niin nähdä.

@diiccix Itse olen todennut, että muiden elämään ja olosuhteisiin on helpompi vaikuttaa kuin omaan, niin hyvässä kuin pahassa. Tai täsmällisemmin: jonkun muun elämään. Aika usein tulee vastaan tilanteita, joissa toinen ihminen on itse kykenemätön vaikuttamaan ahdinkoonsa, mutta huomaan että minulla on mahdollisuus tehdä jotain koska en ole hän. Siitä voi sitten kenties ammentaa merkityksellisyyttä itselleenkin ja olla tyytyväinen maailmaan/muihin jättämästään jäljestä.
@nen @diiccix Joo, tuossa kaaviossa on tosiaan ongelmana sen yksilökeskeisyys. Jos jokainen tuijottaa asioita vain omasta näkökulmastaan, kovin paljon ei tietenkään voi tehdä. Mutta aika monet ulkokehän asiat ovat sellaisia, joihin on mahdollista vaikuttaa, jos se tehdään yhdessä.
Noissa antiikinaikaisissa työkaluissa on nähdäkseni vähän sellaistakin ongelmaa, että ne ovat oman aikansa vapaiden valkoisten miesten keskenään kehittämiä. Niissä ei välttämättä kiinnitetä kovin paljon huomiota siihen, että myös muiden kuin itsensä kaltaisten tilanne pitäisi ottaa huomioon.

Kaikki sellaisten asioiden murehtiminen, joihin emme voi juuri mitenkään vaikuttaa, on hukkaan heitettyä aikaa.

While I was exploring what is possible using charcoal (and the range of possibility is huge), I found that ruined things looks pretty cool with this medium. Especially when you start to fiddle with different types of charcoal. Here I used compressed, powdered charcoal and a bit of willow charcoal in a few places.
