Andremo alla scoperta dei progetti Wikimedia, comme Wikisource, la biblioteca di documenti nel pubblico dominio, o Wikimedia Commons, fonte gigantesca di immagine sotto licenza libera.
Scopriremo in particolare Wikidata, il database libero e multilingua. Si tratta di una raccolta di dati aperti che possono essere riutilizzati da varie applicazioni, come il numero di abitanti di un comune, le caratteristiche di un monumento storico e tante altre cose.
Vedremo anche come interrogare il database e creare liste e mappe dinamiche, ed alcuni esempi di come Wikidata viene utilizzato nell’ambito della letteratura e della valorizzazione del patrimonio.
