2: Setup your pattern however you want.
3: Hit the download button
4: open the resulting file in inkscape ( version greater than 1.3, tested on 1.4.2
5: Select the object, hit ctrl + shift + g a couple of times to undo the grouping, you'll see loads of blue bounding boxes when its right.
