I have wasps setting up home in the air brick under my living room window. I'm really torn about if I should call pest control or not. Generally they are not causing a problem for me anyway, they only come in the house when I'm up stupidly early and don't have the windows closed. Now a wasp has put me in hospital once before, so the sensible thing would be calling pest control, but the thought of them being killed makes me sad.
I'm not really a smartphone person and I only use it to chat with friends and family with #deltachat.

Yeah, it's not about whether Vance would be a better person but whether he would be less popular with Trump's electoral base.
If Trump voters see Vance as just another random politician, it might cause Republican splits and damage politically (we can only hope!). If the threat of being primaried is taken away, Republican politicians may revert to all kinds of feuds over who is the "true heir" to Trump.
This is one of the weaknesses of a cult of personality, when the personality dies it's never clear if anyone can take their place and it can lead to instability.
