Literally the only reason we aren't married is because we'd have to spend $300 more a month for health care, because I have VA which is free and she has low income ACA #healthcare <$100/month. If she lost that I would have to pay $400 through my company for both of us just to ensure she could afford healthcare. If we nationalized all these monopolies that we already currently subsidize at $1T (1/4th the budget) per year. Nationalizing all of these #monopolies would cut literally all of our spending in half at the least if not more, we would be healthier, happier, and live longer. We are in the #enshittification stage of #capitalism to the point that we pay more and more for worse and worse at insane speeds never seen, reaching rent seeking with suppressed innovation on purpose or they can't squeeze out more out of less investment. The only private companies should be ones that have competition. If not, they should be nationalized. At least we get some say with democracy instead of just some rich assholes doing what they want to us at their smallest whim

I sure do get that! And I’m glad she’s had about 7 jobs now in 5 years. Yes, she could try jobs out. But she had backup from her parents. Even now, if she completely lost her job she could move back home. If her car was wrecked her parents would help a little on getting a replacement. How many young adults have that backup? I didn’t and most of my friends didn’t.

I am grateful to have had a great variety of jobs and lived in many places and states. I just never thought I’d spend the next 40 years scrambling to get by.

A large collection of LEGO Blacktron sets from the late 1980’s together with other custom builds (including two large hangers) built in the Blacktron style of black with yellow and transparent yellow highlights.

Yesterday we had summer weather in San Francisco. It was warm, there was barely any wind and no fog. It was the perfect day to take Letty to her first beach walk. there used to be an issue, I don't know if there still is, with HTML mail clients not adhering to the HTML standards as well as others. And not supporting in their clients things that are supported in other clients. Outlook was a good example of this

So HTML mail templates tended to cover all bases by using tables and divs and created a whole mess, just to get different mail clients to render the spam mail correctly in each of the clients
