The EU is a neoliberal Institution and cannot be reformed. The EU parliament can't propose its own legislation. It can only approve, reject or make minor adjustments to legislation handed down by the unelected European Commission. The EC itself gets its instructions from the "Eurogroup" which consists of a few unelected wealthy finance ministers that offer no transparency of their meetings.
It mandates a "competitive free market economy" for its members.

I went back and rewatched the original trilogy sometime in the 1990s, realized I thought they were all cheesy but the 1976 movie got a pass for being fun, while everything afterwards was comical.
The 2000s movies, first one I saw at the end of it the audience was stunned into silence by how bad it was, then some dude stood up and said "THAT MOVIE SUCKED!" and everyone clapped.
They're just more postmodern recombinant bloat now, but let's face it... this series should have been one movie and quit.

The first movie was coherent: make a fun space epic.
After that, decay set in... people drifted farther away from anything like a goal.
It felt like an episode of Stargate by the time they hit the Phantom Menace.
But it's true that some quality filmmaking went into the 1970s-1980s movies.
I cannot forgive an Ewok however...

If you're seriously saying that about the original trilogy of Star Wars movies then you are a blankface. The first two Star Wars movies are excellent pieces of cinema that have great pacing to every scene, great acting, and great special effects. The Ewoks in RotJ are super cheesy and arguably out of place but that doesn't detract from what the rest of the movie does well.
Of all the things they could be rightly criticized for, "incoherent and moronic" is something a tweenager would say. They're incredibly clear given that words like Jedi and The Force didn't exist prior to the movies releasing in theaters.
