The EU is a neoliberal Institution and cannot be reformed. The EU parliament can't propose its own legislation. It can only approve, reject or make minor adjustments to legislation handed down by the unelected European Commission. The EC itself gets its instructions from the "Eurogroup" which consists of a few unelected wealthy finance ministers that offer no transparency of their meetings.
It mandates a "competitive free market economy" for its members.

in reply to Lars • • •Furthermore, a very important detail: The image is stored *encrypted* on AWS. It can - using current technical capabilities - only be accessed using the key, which along with the URL is stored in the QR code.
So all in all, given that there usually is an acceptable alternative (on-site photo booths) that avoids cloud uploads altogether, and that images are stored encrypted on AWS servers, I see no big reason for panic here.
