"On Friday, IT security expert and hacker Janik Besendorf, with the support of the Chaos Computer Club (CCC), filed a lawsuit against the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) at the Administrative Court in Wiesbaden. He accuses the authority of unlawfully processing his biometric facial data and presumably also passing it on to third parties for trial runs of biometric facial recognition.
According to the CCC, the lawsuit specifically targets a cooperation between the BKA and the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research (IGD). The Wiesbaden police authority is alleged to have misused nearly 5 million facial data records from the Inpol-Zentral (Z) police database and transferred them to the IGD without legal basis. The images were used as test material for four new BKA facial recognition systems.
Besendorf, whose facial photo was entered into the INPOL-Z database in 2018 after being processed by the identification service on charges of trespassing, feels that he has been unwittingly turned into a test subject. According to Netzpolitik.org, Besendorf wants to wait until the proceedings are concluded before potentially requesting that his photos be deleted. This is to prevent evidence from being destroyed."

Today in Labor History September 27, 1943: The 4 Days of Naples uprising against the Nazi occupation began in Naples, Italy. The uprising began days before the allies arrived and it successfully disrupted the Nazis from deporting Neapolitans en masse, and from building an effective resistance to the allied forces. It was a fairytale uprising, with only 1,600 rebels going up against 20,000 Nazi and Italian fascist troops, with little time to plan, organize and collect weapons. They were able to quickly muster enthusiastic support due to the intense poverty, repression, and mass executions that residents had suffered at the hands of the fascists. 168 rebels and up to 96 fascists died in the rebellion.

- Cidade relativamente segura, com níveis de criminalidade comparativamente baixos.
- Próxima de diversas praias.
- Cultura relativamente tolerante.
- Agenda cultural relativamente bem preenchida - com concertos, ciclos de cinema, etc.
- Capital de Portugal, um país com diversos tipos de microclima e solos.
- Saúde pública gratuita.
- Posicionamento geográfico relativamente favorável, entre a América do Norte, América do Sul, Europa Ocidental e África.
- Restauração bastante diversificada, com uma grande qualidade gastronómica.
- População local relativamente hospitaleira.
Razões para não gostar de Lisboa:
- Transportes Públicos escassos/velhos e, por consequência, sempre cheios e atrasados.
- Fraquíssima ligação ferroviária com o resto da Europa.
- Parque automóvel excessivo, o que resulta em congestionamentos de tráfego constante e demasiados carros em cima dos passeios.
- Passeios frequentemente esburacados e cheios de lombas: Calçada portuguesa continua a ser um risco enorme com a chuva.
- Escassez de espaços verdes acessíveis.
- Salários bastante baixos comparativamente com outras capitais europeias.
- Mercado habitacional com escassez de oferta, com casas caríssimas, velhas, e nitidamente pouco preparadas para as mudanças de temperatura.
- Restaurantes cada vez mais caros.
- Comércio de rua bastante fraco, com a maior parte das lojas interessantes localizadas em centros comerciais fora do centro da cidade.
- Poucas bibliotecas públicas com horário acessível.
- Poucas livrarias bem apetrechadas.
