i heard a sentence in german today that i understood, without having to look up any words:
"dass sie lachen, das ist voellig klar" - literally translated, it is "it's obvious that they are laughing" (that they laugh, is fully clear".
the speaker/context is irrelevant.
i laughed too. i wrote it down and stuck it on my monitor.
i'm still learning german - at unhuman speed. native germans who wish to help me practise, would be greatly appreciated. talk to me about whatever you want (in german).

anyway, the context of the statement was someone being laughed at for saying bullshit (and everything they say is bullshit and i agreed with the laughter. i'd laugh too, the speaker's insane)
but the speaker responded with indignation, uttering those words; in their mind, the laughter is a vindication of the very bullshit that said speaker articulated
a correct english translation, as i understood while hearing:
"that they laugh, is quite telling"
or
"their laughter reveals their ignorance"
(the speaker was Alice Wiedel in a bundestag debate, claiming that Donald Trump will quickly end the Ukraine war - that's what she was being laughed at for, because she's insane - but I'm using Bundestag debates to train my English brain to understand German. So I also hear Nazis; Wiedel's AfD is a fascist political party in Germany)
the laughter (at her expense) was uproarious, and rightly so.
