I was just reading that Moderna just presented a paper at an Intl Soc. for Vaccines conference on a new mRNA vaccine that is in phase 2 trials which has broad effectiveness against orthopoxviruses - those are the causative agents of smallpox, cowpox, mpox, and a bunch of other viruses. This is HUGE.
Meanwhile RFKJr. and his anti-science squad has spread a ton of disinformation about mRNA (and other) vaccines and has ended U.S. govt funding for the technology. This is what we get from republicans, lies and death. #science #virology #vaccines #mRNA

@maggiejk the food pantry I support is housed near/associated with a church but you would hardly know it. In fact, I *didn't* know it for a long time, just recently met the pastor at the going away party for the Master Gardener at the pantry's community garden. A bunch of staff were there and fully half were queer, so... yeah.
