I am the guest on this week's Penny Forward podcast. I talked about my journey in terms of finding work that aligned with my values as a blind person and attempted to give some general advice for blind people who are looking for work or looking for a job that better aligns with what they would like to be doing. I also talked a little about investing and about moving across the country. To be clear, nothing that I said was intended as a linear "if you do this, then you will find what you're looking for," but, from the point of view of doing what we can as individuals, it is about positioning ourselves to increase our chances of finding opportunities.

We lost our home, our source of income, and any sense of safety or stability. Now, we have no proper shelter or cover to protect us from the cold. Winter is coming fast, and we don’t have warm clothes or blankets for the children. Life here has become unbearable. There’s no gas, no electricity, and no clean water to drink — even salty water is hard to find. Prices are extremely high, and every day is a struggle just to survive. My children keep asking me, “When will we have a home again?”, and I have no answer. We are trying to raise donations to help us leave, rebuild our lives, and give our children a future where they can live with dignity and safety. Please, if you can help or even just share our story, it would mean the world to us.

There's a misunderstanding in this. Electronic rifle scopes (bad enough, I'll grant you) go in the same category as electronic parts for missiles. ICE isn't actually ordering missiles.
