RCORE R-2 (the adapter board for Firefly RK3588 modules for the MNT Reform series) is finally technically done, just some checks and small polishing left for tomorrow. aside from minor bugfixes, a bigger change is the WIFI/BT connector. i exchanged SDIO/UART for PCIe and made that pinout largely compatible with the PCIe port of RPi 5, but with some extra pins for a USB 2 lane. the goal is to be able to support a 3rd M.2 slot in Pocket Reform (2nd in Next) for faster Wi-Fi/BT cards.

And for everybody with super detailed questions, always remember: at MNT Research, most development is in an open git repository source.mnt.re/reform/mnt-refor… (pushed 2 hours ago)

Awesome! This would solve my upgrade blocker to the RK3588, because I need one M.2 slot for the 5G Module, but don't want to lose WiFi.

Granola evolves for team use, adding shared folders, source-linked AI citations, external sharing, reasoning models, and Slack integration for better meeting insights alternativeto.net/news/2025/5/…

The image features a digital interface with a green gradient background. At the top, the text "Introducing Granola 2.0" is prominently displayed in large, bold, dark green letters. Below this, a web browser window is open, showing a user interface with a tab labeled "Sales calls" on the left side. This section lists recent sales calls with potential customers, including names and call durations. On the right side, there is a section titled "What People Are Saying About Granola," which includes a summary of positive reception and key features people appreciate. The interface also includes a search bar at the top, a "New Note" button, and a "Copy link" option. The overall design is clean and modern, with a focus on user interaction and feedback.

No. Beside the reason provided by @bacardi55 here's another. I've just read two of your posts, explored your site a bit, and picked up a couple of possible ideas for my site.

I've also realised that I've taken the more complicated approach with my site, but that's because it works for me.

PS. Beyond answering your question, I wanted to experiment with your comments system. That's one "complication" I've yet to explore.

in reply to David Jones

@djplaner @bacardi55 Thanks! Glad to hear that you found something of value in my posts!

As for the commenting, so far it is working well. I just have to publish twice. Basically,

1. Publish a post on my site to get the URL.
2. Creat a Mastodon post that includes a URL to my site post so I can get the Mastodon post ID.
3. Update my site post with the Mastodon ID and republish.

It's an extra step, but not much since I do not have to maintain anything extra and I already use Mastodon.

Interesting article.

A1: Hello! I'm Matt, and one thing I created and then gave away is all the vector patterns I drew for my Rohirrim (Lord of the Rings) costumes. I feel like I did a pretty good job making clean patterns from the available reference material, and if my work can help someone get a head start on their own costume, all the better for the community. My ethos is that sharing is always better then hoarding. I have benefited from knowledge, reference photos, and patterns that others have offered for free, and if even just one cosplayer benefits from my patterns, it was worth it.

This is incredible. This is a real "Grok", i.e. xAI answer to the question why Grok keeps inserting the topics "white genocide" (a fiction originating in South Africa) and "kill the boer" into answers about completely unrelated questions. Short form: #Musk fiddled with the controls because he can.

While this looks (and probably is) impressive, I'm doubtful of deep self-introspection. In AI even more do than in humans. Especially when it comes to the meta layer ("my creators instructed me …"). We can't tell how much hallucination (or other things) is in that.

Trying to get at the system prompt would be more convincing. But, yes, that might be hard, but more convincing.
