Okay big news on the EU citizen petition to ban the use of "conversion therapy" (IE "curing" or perhaps "torturing into submission") on LGBTQs—BE, NL and SI came through and last night the initiative *met* the 7 countries goal! It needs 330,000 more signatures before the 17th to pass, which sounds rough, but it's got *420,887* in just 5 days, so things are actually on a good pace. This will at least be really close, and this could happen!

Les membres du personnel américain du tribunal de La Haye ont été informés que s’ils se rendent aux États-Unis, ils risquent d’être arrêtés.
Certaines organisations non gouvernementales ont cessé de travailler avec la CPI, et les dirigeants de l'une d'entre elles ne répondront même pas aux courriels des fonctionnaires des tribunaux.
Ce ne sont là que quelques-uns des obstacles auxquels le personnel judiciaire est confronté depuis les États-Unis. Le président Donald Trump a imposé en février des sanctions contre son procureur en chef, Karim Khan, selon des entretiens avec des responsables actuels et anciens de la CPI, des avocats internationaux et des défenseurs des droits de l'homme.
Les sanctions « empêcheront les victimes d’avoir accès à la justice », a déclaré Liz Evenson, directrice de la justice internationale à Human Rights Watch.
Trump a sanctionné le tribunal après qu'un collège de juges de la CPI, en novembre, a émis des mandats d'arrêt contre le Premier ministre israélien Benjamin Netanyahu et son ancien ministre de la Défense, Yoav Gallant.

Email is critical infrastructure in today's digitalized world. Relying on foreign hosting is not a good idea for anybody at risk of political interference because of their profession.
Hosting email locally is still very much possible, even if it gets more involved year over year. Email is the one federated protocol that we have for direct communication. Even with all of its deficiencies in security and privacy, it is the common denominator that connects people. Don't give up control over your own, most basic digital communication channel. Use local hosting companies that you can still call in an emergency, ideally within your own (maybe extended, like EU level) jurisdiction.

Update: As pointed out by @ilumium, depending on your threat model, using an explicitly foreign email service provider can be beneficial if your *local* government is the main threat actor. However, if the local government can physically get you or your client devices, then don't assume too much protection through the email service.
