EU plans to lower the oil cap price for Russian oil, in new sanctions package.
As mentioned recently, oil shippers have been open to Russian oil, specifically because prices have decreased lately to under the cap price - barely profitable, if that.
This would likely take away what little profit Russia is making, even as it's having problems finding enough buyers who don't comply with the cap. Russian Urals (Baltic) crude has spent most of the last two months below the $60 cap.
the EU should just apply the price cap to every ship sailing through the Danish Straits.
