While I was exploring what is possible using charcoal (and the range of possibility is huge), I found that ruined things looks pretty cool with this medium. Joo, tuossa kaaviossa on tosiaan ongelmana sen yksilökeskeisyys. Jos jokainen tuijottaa asioita vain omasta näkökulmastaan, kovin paljon ei tietenkään voi tehdä. Mutta aika monet ulkokehän asiat ovat sellaisia, joihin on mahdollista vaikuttaa, jos se tehdään yhdessä.
Noissa antiikinaikaisissa työkaluissa on nähdäkseni vähän sellaistakin ongelmaa, että ne ovat oman aikansa vapaiden valkoisten miesten keskenään kehittämiä. Niissä ei välttämättä kiinnitetä kovin paljon huomiota siihen, että myös muiden kuin itsensä kaltaisten tilanne pitäisi ottaa huomioon.

Kaikki sellaisten asioiden murehtiminen, joihin emme voi juuri mitenkään vaikuttaa, on hukkaan heitettyä aikaa.
Minä näen antiikkisen stoalaisen filosofian aivan päinvastoin, eli juuri empatiaa lisäävänä. Hämmentää, että jotkut näkevät mielenrauhan jotenkin kylmäkiskoisena. Ihan kaikkia stoalaisia oppeja en allekirjoita, kuten mutta siellä on suurin osa hyvää. Tätä ei pidä kärjistää. @nen @diiccix
