I've been monitoring Iranian connectivity for ~72 hours. The country is experiencing the most severe Internet outages in its history, and they come in waves (some ASNs manage to restore connectivity then disappear again). A community of technologists and researchers is trying to come up with something to help people there. People share measurements, reports from inside Iran, tools recommendations and other tips. The situation is unclear because measures are often coming from the outside and first-hands reports are fragmented and dispersed.
In these hard times (which are also a test drive for Internet Freedom Community who's supposed to help civil society exactly at the moments like this one), I decided that I need a T-shirt. A special T-shirt with a print that some people will immediately understand and feel the mix of pain and humor behind it.

Quoting Noa Limona on how the Israeli media is reckoning with uncritically accepting military explanations for targeting journalists and media infrastructure, after using the same justifications in both Gaza and Iran attacks that are now being used at home against them:

Limona’s concludes that the assault on press freedom that began with targeting foreign journalists is expanding to encompass Israeli media outlets that don’t toe the government line. She warns that even mainstream Israeli channels (11, 12, 13) are now being labeled as problematic by government supporters, suggesting that the restrictions will eventually affect all non-compliant media.

in reply to Kim Possible • • •Verdict: the Picasso melon was pretty good, reminiscent of Honeydew, though not quite as sweet, and ivory in color as opposed to the green of Honeydew.
The Hami was a lot like canteloupe, same color and everything, but it was not quite as sweet, and it had an odd (floral?) flavor that was hard to get past.
Well, it's good to try new things, but I think I will stick to my everyday melon varieties.

in reply to Mike • • •@sunumbral I think they are hit or miss with me, but to be fair, you have to select a melon very carefully. A little give at the ends, heavy for its size, that sort of thing.
I need to start buying whole watermelons.
