En mi ciudad hay una organización, un grupo informal, que bajo el nombre de Ollita Travesti (empezaron haciendo ollas populares y en ellas insisten) nos brinda ayuda a quienes nos caímos del sistema, y ya el nombre les dice una de las causas de nuestro "fracaso"--pero naturalmente no se nos toma un examen de travestidad, aclaro esto para quienes descreen de la llamada política identitaria.
A mí y a otras/os compañeras/os nos han literalmente salvado la vida. Y yo tengo casa propia, con lo cual lo que necesito es comer y pagar los servicios, pero imagínense quien ha sido echade de su casa, o acaba de salir de la cárcel (es algo que nos pasa a menudo, por este asunto del trabajo sexual, la extorsión policial y en general la existencia precaria).
Esta ayuda mutua, este apañe según lo nombramos, cuesta más dinero del que pueden aportar de su bolsillo las personas que participamos orgánicamente. Solicitamos por lo tanto donaciones en nuestros eventos y hoy yo soy quien las pide, en esta red donde pareciera que una de cada dos personas es trans o de otro modo queer, y el grueso de les usuaries reside en el hemisferio norte... junio es vuestro Mes del Orgullo, ¿verdad? ¿Qué mejor excusa para hacerle un regalo a la gente de mi Transtravalandia sudamericana?
Toda suma que puedan aportar es válida y significa algo para una persona necesitada.
