The beautiful Toolache Wallaby ( macropus greyi) , as illustrated by Henry Constantine Richter in John Gould's "Mammals of Australia", published between 1845 and 1863.
This wallaby was to be found in South Australia and Victoria. The last sighting inn the wild took place in 1924, and the last Toolache Wallaby in captivity died in 1939.
