Most glassmorphic (a portmanteau of ‘glass’ and ‘skeuomorphic’) designs have a more frosted look than what Apple went with in the Liquid Glass design system
That lends itself to better readability, but I think Apple doesn’t want to go that route, a lot of the refraction and chromatic aberration they’ve designed wouldn’t be as prevalent if it were frosted in line with most glassmorphic design systems
