Its purpose is to create greater awareness in the hope that we can provide better treatment and management of conditions, as well as more effective prevention measures."
So I hope you'll spend a moment thinking about the people in your life living with a chronic condition, which can be exhausting, overwhelming and sometimes confusing. Facing challenges that in addition to physical pain and side-effects of medication can cause stress, anxiety and low self-esteem and lead to social isolation. When I’m painting from life it’s fun to play around with focus and color relationships by just “thinking it” and visually things kinda jump out which then becomes more straightforward to put onto the canvas. With photos everything is “flat” and it’s harder to find those dynamic moments if that makes sense
