I did a quick search for a page that summarized ownership of bitcoin.
2000 wallets own 36% of all bitcoin.
China and the US gov have the largest bitcoin holdings.
And for some other source, they’re around I think six companies that do the lion share of transaction processing.

Dal prossimo anno io troverò per davvero un gruppo locale attorno la provincia di Palermo per #GdR e #GdT .
Palermo ben ci sta ma però in questo mondo non c'è proprio niente per quanto riguarda gli altri comuni, specie da dove vivo io.
Voglio che ci sia giustizia per chi non vuole passare 30 minuti in macchina.
Capisco che non è un hobby in voga ma mi fa sempre rimuginare sentire che la maggior parte frequentati stanno nelle città più popolate. Se scelgo di giocare online, il problema è che non mi piace partire da gente che non so incontrarli di persona, sono una persona che psicologicamente si sente riservato e preferisco altamente incontrarli di persona che provarci.

Google and their ham-fisted policy implementations are *also* the reason I choose to use F-Droid over the Play store.
I'd have more sympathy for the plans if the trust store was controlled/handled by someone else - that would at least strike the compromise between protecting freedoms and the vulnerable.
But, Google can't be trusted with that kind of power

Just reading about "Managed Play" which does seem to provide the kind of thing our teams will need. Extra effort by the organisation is big enough to handle that.
Might not work so well for smaller companies but as you mentioned there's always uncertified hardware as an option.

in reply to Terence Eden • • •The bank has another option: They can say to me, "You can only run our app on your rooted phone if you sign this waiver that we're not responsible for whatever happens." Why not - they already had me sign such a thing in relation to other products.
Similarly the game co. They _could_ say, "Our game is only certified safe on platforms X and Y. If you run it on anything else you assume all liability for the consequences."
99.9% of users are never going to want to do that anyway.

Users are, sadly, useless. And I say that as a user.
There was an episode of Scam Secrets on Radio 4 on Thursday (it's available on iPlayer) that was talking about someone who lost thousands of pounds to a APP scammer.
Their bank tried to talk them out of it. They even got the poor mark to take a selfie of themselves, holding a sign saying "My bank has told me this is a scam and I won't see my money again", and send it to them.
And still the mark insisted they proceed.

in reply to Terence Eden • • •Personally I think the right path is a bit of a mix of things. We must - must! - be able to run the software of our own choosing on our devices if we wish to do so. I think there can also be a place for voluntarily trusting a company to verify apps or developers, but it must be voluntary.
Perhaps this can be partly a decision made at the time of purchase. Maybe you can't undo it without factory resetting the phone, which few people will be willing to do on a whim

But, as TFA says, I'm also struggling to see the benefit - they'll be able to yank certs as they become aware of them, but by then the harm is likely already done and the next attempt will use some other mule's identity instead
