This was always inevitable: monopoly is the only intended endstate of moneyarchy/concentration-of-wealth-archy, & Apple *isn't* "special" in any way, in its monopoly-enforcement behavior.
There is no escape, unless escape is force-legislated, & it may be too-late for governments to claim that leverage ( what would happen to any country which had all its cellphones bricked, by the 2 companies Apple & Google deactivating all their devices, while pulling-out? death: that country would instantly be converted into carrion. )
You have to fight-for-your-health *while you can win*, & waiting until the cancer has metastasized .. has consequences: then you only have remaining-short-time-quality-of-life-before-being-destroyed, left.
The countries of the world *handed* their survival to private-wealth & big-tech, & locked *themselves* in the designer prison.
